Because it won't sell enough to justify the costs of localization?

Most of the localization work is already done!Mihail said:Because it won't sell enough to justify the costs of localization?
The technical localization, maybe, but not the shipping out to retailers, advertising, etc.dark10x said:Most of the localization work is already done!
It's probably the same excuse Nintendo used for not doing Mother 1+2 GBA... they'd feel the need to relocalize it and bring things up to today's standard.dark10x said:Most of the localization work is already done!

I'm really not knowledgeable enough to know how much things like production, shipping, and advertisment cost, so you could be right, but I'm sure they're taken into account when a company makes the decision of whether to bring a game to a new region or not, especially when the system is not region-free.DarienA said:You're reaching now...

King This is probably a Konami decision based off of sales for the previous Suikoden game here in the states. [/QUOTE said:This doesn't make sense because I believe V and the Tactics style offshoot are already confirmed for PS2 release in the US.
Himuro said:psp as well if I recall.
<cough> Street Fighter Alpha Double Upper is coming and Darkstalkers is already here.
Classy.Himuro said:So why is this not coming out to North America? I bet you it's scea and that faggot Ken Kutaragi
Yeah this explains why the retro compilations and other Capcom and/or SNK rehashes actually make it through (SFAC, Metal Slugs and KOFs).SCEA refuses to have 2d games on it's systems these days.
That's completely, utterly false. The graphics whore. SCEA refuses to have 2d games on it's systems these days. I hate them.
Alright, you need to chill down, not to mention watch your language.Himuro said:I bet you it's scea and that faggot Ken Kutaragi, or whoever he is. The graphics whore.
DarienA said:Just use their website to send them a polite email, something along the lines of what I did:
I've heard that Konami of Japan recently announced Suikoden 1/2 for PSP for release in Japan. I've also heard that said release is currently ONLY for Japan. Can you confirm this? If that is the case I would just like to say that as a long time supporter of various Konami products I for one would love to see this combo released on the PSP in the US.
Thank you for your time.

SailorDaravon said:I'd buy a PSP for this game if it was coming out here. However it looks dated by today's standards for most people. Also, they go for a lot on ebay, but that's because there's not a whole lot of them. If this got released here, I don't see it doing big numbers unless they got it out soon, maybe before the end of the year, while there's still a lack of RPGs in the US.
Suikoden 2 is my favorite game of all time, but calm the hell down dude. These are business companies, we can't expect them to please us at a loss to themselves. Also, since when do emails work? I remember the guy who organized something like 2500 emails to get them to release Tales of Destiny 2 and Namco x Capcom, see how well those worked.

DarienA said:You know people keep saying that if it got release here it wouldn't do big numbers.. hello? None of the Suikoden's do big numbers here and IV certainly didn't set the world on fire.
I really wanted to play them. I'll admit that I have a copy of both Suikoden I and II...Not because I refused to buy them...but because it's friggin impossible to FIND THEM. They are pretty good games that have a huge value in the 2nd hand market.jett said:I thought this was totally going to be about the MGS4 trailer. jarrod said:Snatcher & Policenauts would make fantastic PSP releases... if Kojima allowed it.
Kojima should be only embarassed of one thing. And that's RaidenSolidSnakex said:He might change on Snatcher/Policenauts. He originally said he didn't want MG or MG2 released again because they're so old (during TGS he still admitted he's kind of embarrasSed to show them). But no they're releasing both of those again on the PS2.
ourumov said:Kojima should be only embarassed of one thing. And that's RaidenI beat Snatcher CD (on the Mega CD) in the year 2001-2002 and even though the game had its years and the simple ask and progress mechanics were kinda stupid I enjoyed it A LOT. It's the story what makes them great
Never touched Policenauts because I wouldn't understand anything
Just grab the SS release and port it to PSP![]()
