"Well," Retro said, folding his arms and sitting back in his chair. "I think we are ready to begi-" He broke off, eyes narrowing across the table. "Wait. You're not Burbeting. You're-"
The young man, who was sitting across the table and wearing a name tag with "Burbeting" on it, cut him off. "How do you know I'm not Burbeting?"
"I run Outer Gafia," Retro said in a tired voice. "I know who all of you are."
"Yeah, it's weird how much he knows about us." Someone at the table whispered, "He even told me how long my-"
"Okay!" Retro cut the person off, rubbing his eyes. "Show of hands, who is wearing a name tag that doesn't belong to them?"
Everybody in the room, except for Retro, raised their hands.
"Awesome." Retro scowled and shook his head. "Well, Okay, it's fine for now, but I'm going to reveal who you actually are, if and when you get killed."

Can I just point out this is something that we would probably do in real life?

Ok, lets start by the table mechanic. I think is very interesting that we know were we are all sitting and that there is an equal number of players on both tables that share letters.

Its obvious there is a mechanic based on this map, as for what exactly it is, I have a few theories.

-Some players can swap chairs/places with other characters during the night.
-Some players can gossip with their adjacent players.
-Some players can share items/goods with their adjacent players.
-Players actions may be limited by the table they are sitting in.

Right, let's start this off then.

VOTE: LaunchpadMcQ

1) Because he's opposite me
2) Because he's already dead what the fuck why are you still alive

Dood. That's fucked up.

Just stopping by to say Table 2 is best table. Get fucked Table 1.

Also good luck everyone!

Also could we assume that may a "couple" is sitting next to each other?

Do you live in the heart of the Outback or something? How in the world does it take anyone this much to get you your Internet back? Have you told your ISP you have a loving community that misses you dearly? D:

I think all of those are plausible. I could see player actions being limited to who they are sitting beside or x amount of chairs from.

Are there item mechanics in the general Mafia-universe? What would be a good generic example?
CornB in PW could send random items that IIRC did nothing. In SW there was someone who could send someone a blaster or a shield which actually did something.

Do you guys think there is a connection between the letter pairs from table 1 and 2?
The letters probably stick to the seat opposed to the player, so it's still possible, but unlikely that those mechanics would be a permanent power of a particular Player in the vein of "You're at seat B at Table 1. Player X at seat B at Table 2 is your partner/nemesis/whatever". I could imagine a scenario where a role can target one letter, but hits both table 1 and 2.

I wonder if we can only vote for people on our own table... I'll test that!

Vote: Ourobolus

he once made me voteless now my first vote in this game is on him ^_____^ circle of life :p

this table smells.

on table seating, is it all done completely random? my first gut reaction is that scum is probably in both tables.

also who supports no-lynch? i like a nice, gory death on day 1. gets the blood flowing.

So looking at that map, I am going to assume that those seats are not permanent.

Now I need someone to vote...

I might as well place a vote; I feel naked without one.

VOTE: Gryvan

How difficult can it be to find an avatar? Suspicious.

Time to get this party started.

VOTE: Ourobolus

Nothing personal, Ouro. I just kinda despise every fiber of your being thanks to what happened in Matrix6.

Goddamnit Retro, you are going to spoil the crap out of your child.

Time to spend precious time analyzing the map.

I'm prrtty sure the tables you're sitting at will affect who you can target. That part seems obvious. However, there may be abilities that can table hop, or like weird targeting like the people who have their backs to each other in the center.

Salvas list, which I just saw after typing the above, has some good theories. I think we should proceed with the assumption that at the very least it'll affect targeting with abilities.

Good luck on the game, everyone!

Based on the vote count Retro posted, people from Table A can vote at Table B people and vice versa. That one seems obvious, but it's good that it was checked at least. There wasn't given much explanation on how the mechanics actually work, other than that the seating arrangements can change. I guess it's safe to say that those changes would happen during the night phase, but what we don't know is that if those changes have any meaningful impact on the game itself. That's something we can really only speculate, for now. Salva has listed some reasonable enough guesses.

Also, it's interesting that both Bronx-man and Gryvan have both seemingly "random voted" people, who have already received a vote. Why is that..?
