It is possibly just coincidence that Launch has been near two motion detectors in a row who dinged. It is possible it was the other person both times, though it would mean that Burb is lying.

But that doesnt make him Scum. And I say this as someone who has plenty of reason to want to see Launch dead.

No deaths last night. That's good, because it means we might have possibly obtained one extra day before game would be in MYLO/LYLO situation. The reasons to no deaths could be:

1. Roleblocker hitting the killing scum of last night. Possible.
2. Protective power targeting the right person. Again, possible.
3. Scum trying to target me last night, when I was commuting. Seems unlikely, I had claimed out loud when I'm commuting.
4. Something else entirely.

So I think that Roleblocker or Protective power being the most likely scenarios.

Now that arsonist is dead, there is no more excuses for some of the people (mostly looking at Roy and Ouro) to not completely concentrate on the Scum Hunt.

I see that there is already votes on Launch. I agree that he is very suspicious at this point, but I want to think of the whole scenario.

The Motion Detection is fairly unreliable power right now, because the detectors have claimed. Any scum would do their best to evade using their powers while next to the detectors during the night, and also they might want to use their powers on the people sitting next to the detectors to make them look scummy. Looking at how Nin and Terra have acted so far in this game, I think this would be a fairly good tactic for the scum to take.

So I don't want to codemn Launch from being binged next to the Detectors. However, there is lot more shady stuff around him, especially the fact that his power seems to almost useless from town POV, especially since he couldn't pick the table.

Would any sane scum dare to make actions next to the detectors...? When the response is this aggressive. It would be more beneficial to either not move, or to target the people next to the detectors.

FYI, I'm not defending Launch here. Just trying to think things through. Also this reasoning obviously wouldn't clear me in N1, since Nin hadn't claimed at that point.

So I guess we have a roleblocker with a lucky guess? I'm not sure I'd want them to come forward yet, but, like Xam says, it could lead us to who made the kill, potentially.

To whoever thinks they did something right last night (doctor/roleblocker), take a close look at things and make sure what you have is conclusive before putting yourself out there.

I agree with you on the motion detector thing. It's an unreliable power for sure, we can't really rely on it solely for picking our next scum candidates. But if you consider Launch as a whole, motion detection included, he seems to have become more and more suspicious. I'm not saying let's lynch him outright right now, but this new ding and especially the very late admission that he received a drink at the tail end of yesterday makes him pretty high on my scum list.

If we assume there is 3 scum left, and we are looking at 1 death per phase:

Day 5: 15
Day 6: 13
Day 7: 11
Day 8: 9
Day 9: 7

We would be looking at LYLO in Day 9. Day 8, if there is four scum left. Town is in pretty good shape at the moment, at least.

Reasoning is the same as yesterday. She is coasting pretty badly, and fits the scum profile of being AFK during Weemad's final moments. I want to hear from her.

Also, Salva, I'll raise this point from yesterday: Do you think that Kalor knew what the PR was other scum had? Because if he didn't, it would make sense for him to not vote either scum weemad, or scum you. He didn't know who to prefer in saving, and would have looked bad to other scum by voting one of them, so scum might have accidentally killed him.

I agree that as a whole, Launch is pretty scummy. I said as much in post bit before, his power seems really useless from town POV, and the admission of receiving the drink so late is odd. I just think that relying too much on the motion detection results. For all we know, both of the people who nin was checking last night were scum, who just decided to not move.

We know there is at least one roleblocker in play, since Camjo was blocked. Entirely possible our blocker is a jailer or something, especially if we have no actual doctor.

What makes Launch suspicious is also how he voted on Salva as soon as Weemad was gathering traction. And when I raised that point in D3, he responded very... strongly, to say the least.

What I agree is that we have some blocker power. What I am not as sure of, is if that Blocker is town or Scum. I think Roleblocker at that point is one of the more common scum roles, which makes me little wary.

If it's jailor though, they are more likely to be Town. I mean, why would scum have a protective power in a game, with seemingly no Serial Killer, outside the Arsonist.

I was commuting last night, so I wouldn't know (although I wouldn't know if I was targeted even if I was not commuting). It's possible there was no NK because scum tried to target me thinking I was lying, but I think that's little unlikely. I mean, there was five other players who had claimed a role, why not target any of them?

To be honest, I am more worried about Launch than BSP.

Both of them could be scum, but I think Launch would be the one that could be the most dangerous to town.

Dismissive responses are "strong" in my opinion, since you try to completely cancel a possible clue. It's the reason why I think Czar's reaction to me being suspicious also "strong" response.

I am not being sarcastic. Since both motion trackers claimed, both teams go into Night Actions knowing full well who will set off a motion tracker and who wouldn't. If Scum is not next to a motion detector, they can freely target those next to a motion detector with no repercussions. In fact, they can do so with benign powers to make said person look guilty. Even guiltier if a person was already dinged by a motion detector.

Easy scenario: You are a scum role blocker. At this point you have no real idea who the other PRs are with active abilities; Scrafty and Camjo are read; Ouro is on drink break. Previous night phase, Launch set off a motion detector (since we doubt Burbeting did). Who do you target?

You target Launch. Even if he has no PR, he looks like he does because twice in a row he set off a motion detector. If he does have a PR, his action fails AND he looks suspicious.


Or quite possibly Launch has a PR and is moving. Unless it was mandatory, he would be dumb to do it while next to a Motion Detector, unless it's an important role.

Or he is Scum doing something.

While I might think 2 or 3 are the most likely, 1 is not an option I am willing to dismiss. It's a good scum play, given Launch has several votes on him already.

A scum Jailer would also "protect" them from Ouro's drinks, which delays his victory.

But yeah, I agree it would be a little weird. With so many town PRs being seemingly passive (Bronx, 2x Motion Detectors) or day time (Xam), I do not see a scum blocker being all that potent though. Sure, they can also block the neutral roles, but the arsonist is more likely to benefit Scum and Ouro is basically harmless. His leaving is one less player they have to kill.

If the blocker is town, they're basically a pseudo-doctor. sure, they have to target the actionER instead of the actionEE, but they protect against NKs, Dousings and ... drinks.

Am I the only one that likes to imagine that the drinks that Ouro hands out are the fruity ones with lots of little umbrellas?

Nin, what's your opinion on BSP? I town read you, but you also always concentrate 100% on one person at a time. If that person would be town, it would mean "wasting" multiple days on said person. So I'd like to hear what you think of other players too.

I would agree that it would be stupid for him to use his power last night. Unless it is obligatory.

And I've shared the same feelings on nin as Burb has - up until yesterday. I was more concerned with getting rid of Camjo at the time so I didn't really bring it up, but...
