GAF's Nintendo Discussion, News, and Speculation |OT|

Yo, my homies. It's been too long.

Switch 2 is great. It's like the Switch 1 if it wasn't a piece of shit. Everything is better. It feels like a proper console again instead of one of those garbage-ass Android TV boxes... which I guess was to be expected from the Switch 1 considering that the chip was (I think) the same Nvidia used on the Shield TV way back.

Like, games just look and feel polished again, like they did on the Wii U. It's hardware that's finally up to the task of running Nintendo's games again. And the input lag feels massively better than the Switch 1 did (though Switch 1 games are still laggy), though I haven't actually taken any measurements on that. I dunno. I love it.

Don't sleep on Bravely Default HD.

Sister! Good to see you're still alive. Anyway, I do like the Switch 2 quite a bit as well and getting one in glorious BR was no small feat. Sadly I'm yet to see the Pro Controller 2 for sale here, so I've been using the regular Pro Controller and it's been fine, but it doesn't wake the console and, as someone who ONLY plays docked, that bothers me somewhat. I've been playing BOTW and it's amazing to see that game running on decent hardware. I like the experience and it's exactly what I hoped it would be.

Fortunately for when you do get one, the Pro Controller 2 is a massive improvement over the original. The overall feel is excellent and everything from the size of the face buttons to the analog sticks to the d-pad is exactly what I wanted. They bungled the d-pad with the S1 Pro Controller, but not this time.
