Game Boy Micro <3 Thread

He's daily carry around Micro, It's so small I forget it's with me in the pocket of my laptop bag. Whenever I've got some time I'll always remember it's there.

I brought a few of them from Ebay in the UK late last spring where they could be brought if you looked for new auctions with low "Buy It Now" for around 10 pounds.
This one is pink and has a famicom faceplate and had power pack, was sold untested and without a picture. I took a gamble and got lucky it's in good condition and working and I brought a cheap USB charge cable to use with it.

You know if you look for ones with no power supply on Ebay the price is a lot lower, and getting a USB charge cable is very cheap.

I also brought a nice silver one boxed and complete and a blue one with the Left shoulder button not working. I guess I'll be able to fix it. It might be worth getting some replacement batteries for it now while they are still availible, my pink one does not hold the charge as well as it used to and it's very easy to replace the battery in the Micro.

I remember Comp USA going out of business and they were selling Micros for $30. If I didn't have any already I would jump on it in a heartbeat.

regarding Gamestop stock transfer between stores...

there should be no fee...ive never been asked to pay a surcharge on a store transfer.

I'm so in decisive...picked up another on eBay just now...

black micro with two games and charger...mint screen...$36 shipped...

not too bad...

going to NY next week...will hit up Elizabeth Center in Chinatown and stock up on games!

I love looking at these pics. It's amazing how one post in the pickup thread started everyone to want a mirco...:lol Cutest hand-held ever. I got one 2 years ago for 50 i should have gotten 2 more!
I'll post some pics in a day or two

Gonna return my micro. Looks like no place online sells faceplates anymore, and the faceplate on mine has a nice large scratch right down the middle that makes it look like the screen has a column of dead pixels. Distracting as hell.
Can't you buy faceplates direct from nintendo.com?

I bought it used, came like this. Figured I could just get a replacement faceplate but looks like no go on that.

Not anymore. Not even nintendo carries em.

So I really want a red micro, and I got kind of desperate.

Sooo, I ordered me the import Mother 3 Edition. Pretty steep price, but I think in time I will be glad I picked it up. What sold me on it was the faux fading paint and wear on the buttons and D-pad.

Now I won't feel guilty about playing the patched ROM either, once I get through the first Earthbound.

I want one of these soooooo bad :( What are good places to pick one up for the cheap?

your looking at $300 for the whole package, good condition. I couldn't find any other condition ones actually.

To be honest I had completely forgotten these things existed. I'm definitely interested in finding one, however Ebay prices have been pretty steep and no Gamestop has one within 100 miles of me. S.O.L. am I..

I love my silver Micro, but I really would like one of those famicom ones at some point.
I have a famicom, but think the Silver ones look great too :lol

I really like dreamcasters pink/gold combo above too, really works.

are you guys serious??? that mother 3 thing looks atrocious! almost as bad as those "relic'd" guitars that Fender tries to sell. if you're gonna make it look beat-up and old, just go all-out and put a big crack in the screen or something.

edit: THIS, on the other hand..

is fucking awesome!!

I have a second boxed pink GBMicro (UK vers) coming in the mail. Box is a bit dented, but the actual micro is in great shape. Looking to trade it for either a Green, Blue, or Red one, if anyone is interested. If you have a spare green one you want to trade, I'll even throw in $10 paypal.

Well, looks like I'm down to my last red Gameboy Micro and I'm keeping this one for myself:

Still the best colour and finish for this awesome handheld though.

Ah, if a trade doesn't work out I could pay cold hard cash.

But I really just need to Game Boy, no need for box/charger, etc.

I had my chiropractor examine one of these gizmos. He said it was as if they were designed to cripple your arm and shoulders. He recommended me to throw it away. I havent looked back since

Dunno what you mean, but when I play mine, my arm and shoulders have no problems whatsoever. I get more cramps playing my DSi than my Micro.

I bought the Famicom one and regret it. It's really neat but it loses novelty fast. I'd take a simple black faceplate over this now... if I could find one. :(

What are you, 6 inches tall?

Just relaying health information. He was even puzzled that the Micro was even legal. But go ahead, break your body. Or ask your local chiropractor for another opinon. I loved the Micro, but it wasn't good for my health.

That's the kind of useful medical information you'll find at Sony Brand Chiropractors (tm).
