Sexy, but does it have a headphone jack?

Edit: Guess so. Still, it needs a screen protector. :)

New Game Boy Micro projects a dynamic image: The best-selling system, Game Boy Advance, gets an extreme makeover for image-conscious people who like to play games. A slick, polished new look called Game Boy Micro shrinks Game Boy Advance technology into a stylish silver casing. It boasts a super-clear screen but weighs just 2.8 ounces, about the weight of 80 paper clips. A removable face plate gives owners the option to buy replacements to customize the look of their systems again and again with new colors and designs. It’s a cool new look, but not a successor to any existing product line. The Game Boy Advance line has sold more than 28 million units worldwide.

Looks retro in a sexy way, if the price is right I'll most likely get one, my SP is in a bad shape and the backlight seals the deal (if it's REAL backlight, like DS/PSP).

does it play GB and GBC games?

better not be more than 50$
39.99 would be the limit I would pay for something like that, but I doubt I would get one anyway.

Well it's pretty obvious I'm going to be getting one, looks great, but is it comfortable? Oh well, at least someone still knows how to make a portable that uh..portable!

The GB Micro is for image conscious people who still want to game.

Holy fuck we just had this conversation here in GAF a bit back about the image that's presented(possibly unfairly) when you pull out a GBA (looks da kiddie?) vs. the image(possibly untrue) when you pull out the #1 stunna PSP...

Since when has Nintendo been concerned with the image conscious gamer? Hmmm

i don't need another GBA capable device...

*looks at unit*

well, maybe just ONE more....

I really don't see this as sexy, it just looks... cheap.

Glad I'm not the only one. If all it really is is a GBA with a smallers form factor, you could have kept that for after E3 so it didn't fall into the noise of the show.

Wow, that looks a lot more comfortable than the older ones. It sounds light as fuck too. I wonder why buy it though, when most of the games are heading to DS?

Did you see the E3 conference? The thing is tiny as hell, I don't know how anyone with regular sized hands could play that thing for 10mins without their hands totally cramping up.

You know, the small size would've been justified if it played MP3s via an SD slot. i could tolerate the size for games if it meant i coupld use it to play music.

Well the buttons look bigger and in the right place. It looks like an NES controller to me, I don't have a problem with that.

that thing is probably meant more for kids. Looks too small for anyone with normal sized hands. Just nintendo expanding their portable market even further i guess. I'd still rather have an SP.

Nintendo's Target Demographic = the dumbest consumers on earth.

Hence why children are so often involved.

Yes, because no other electronic piece of equipment comes in different sizes.

TVs are all one size. DVD players comes in one standard form, same goes for portable players. Radios only come in one size. Computer monitors are in one size. In fact, the Playstation would never EVER be released in a smaller form later on in the product's lifecycle. ONLY THE BASTARDS AT NINTENDO DARE RELEASE SOMETHING IN A SMALLER FORM!

Once again, I refuse to understand what the problem you have with this is if you never plan to buy one. Some of you are going to have to learn you need well thought out arguments, or you're going to be laughed at. Often.

Yea....somehow I don't think I'm the one being laughed at today. But I'll just let brainiacs like yourself stand in line. Target demographic = reached.

I want one of these. Don't need one in the slightest, but I just love the idea of a tiny GBA. +1 sale to sucker for small gaming technology.

Tell me, where can you quote me saying I was going to buy one?

Look, someone wants to spend their money on one of these and they already own every other version of the GBA out there? I think that's absurd, but it's their money. They've got the right.

But if you want to laugh at people for doing it, I think you need to get off your high horse. Everybody's got their something that they'll spend money on without hesitation.

29.99 is the sweet spot though for it.

I can't imagine wanting a GBA with an even smaller screen. Not to mention the dpad/button setup loks uncomfortable. Hopefully it'll drive down the price of the SP.
