Since I first saw this I was far from impressed with its gameplay. Graphics look great but the rest is just boring.
We played a near-final build of Ryse: Son of Rome, and the news is all good.
"With my left hand completely off the controller, I was able to slice and dice through tons of enemies simply by inputting the same sequence ad nauseum"
hey man, rotary phones are fun to dial.

But.. But.. IGN said there's no worries about QTE combat and there's plenty of depth. Oh IGN...

If this game sells more than DR3 I will be very sad. DR3 might not be pretty but man does it look fun.
Read who wrote the article...other IGN Staff have stated that Ryse is not that good. Mitch even said it
Crippling?
Game Informer editor Dan Ryckert has shared his thoughts after spending a couple hours playing Xbox1 Launch Title Ryse: Son of Rome

Not surprised based on the E3 demo.
Doesn't sound good for MS and Crytek. Game Informer can be pretty forgiving by most standards.
Sacrifice to the Gods if old.
Other outlets loved it. Odd. Seems to be a polarizing game. May rent it.
Ryan loves it. He wouldn't worry. We should worry.
One question, has the game non fighting elements??? because we are seeing only fights, and if this part fails....
Ryan McCaffery loves it...Ign loves it. I wouldn't worry.
I spent two hours with the Xbox One title, but it felt like I was entering random numbers into a computer rather than actually playing a video game.
Really starting to look like Lair mark 2. Pretty, with horrible game mechanics.
I still remember trying to control the dragon with sixaxis, nearly put me off the PS3.
Sounds like a Kinect game without Kinect.
Which is... what it is, right?

Crytek hasn't made a genuinely good game since Crysis 1 so I'm not surprised.

Which one's loved it?
You have to wonder how it was humanly possible to have a game playing a Roman soldier hacking at other people with those amazing graphics suck. It should be a blast. What the hell went wrong?
Ryan McCaffrey?IGN and Gamespot seemed to like it.
