You don't really mean that. Not really. Everyone says they hope Joffrey dies, and he probably will at some point. But when or if that happens, the show will be a bit less interesting without him. It's fun to hate the bad guy, but when the bad guy leaves, some fun leaves with him.

Hating on Tywin is so much more fun, because he's not just a bastard - he's a magnificent bastard!

Well, I'm wondering whether or not his reputation alone might be a boon or disadvantage.
Sure, he's the king slayer and oath breaker, but he's also the slayer of the mad king, and relatively handsome (along with being the first born of one of the most prestigious houses).

I'm sure he could be married off to an important princess or queen, so as to increase the influence and power of Lannister House.

1st born son. They haven't said whether Jaime or Cersei were delivered first.

So is it safe to say that Tywin may only show "respect" to Jaime? He can't shit on all his kids right?

Although I'm sure if Jaime does get brought back with his lack of hand I'm sure he won't give a fuck about him anymore.

Tywin did shit on Jamie in season 1 - sort of.

You sure about that? The man they cut the nipple off for example was much healthier and bigger than Gray Worm.

I agree, most of them looked like some really big dudes. Even in the group that grey worm came from - all of them looked pretty large and grey worm looked to be the smallest out of all of them. He may even look smaller than he actually is just because the rest were so big.

He is so small relative to the others that I expected Dani to comment on the fact or for Grey Worm to show himself exceptional in some other way like in wit or leadership abilities. Maybe he will eventually, but my point is that the unsullied don't look undernourished or small as whole compared to any other soldiers in the show.

I don't have a problem with Grey Worm being "small" and lightly built. The most incredible kendoka I've ever fought is about my height and weighs ten pounds less than I do. He still kicks everyone's ass and he's past fifty.

Ye I watched a documentary the other day on the French Legion and those guys are tough as fuck - they are fighting machines and intimidating bastards, they are small and large in physique.

Tywin controls his children through manipulation of their desire to impress him. He does the same thing to Jaime, "it's time for you to become the man you were born to be" He always keeps that carrot just out of their reach and they (so far) do nothing but continue reaching for it.

Whoever designed those French legionnaires outfits is a fabulous troll. Short shorts and a beret?

It could be worse. Have you seen the Spanish Legion uniform?

Their parades are like a gay buffet.

So, I caught about half of the most recent silent hill film recently, and Jon Snow just about has the worst american accent I've ever heard. It was so distracting, we had to stop watching.

Viserys is also pretty handsome in real life

I don't remember anything of Tywin from Season 1.

I always misremember his first appearance being at Harranhal with Arya.

In the series, Tywin is introduced in camp...I forget who he was talking (down) to but he was cutting up a deer in the process. The metaphor was far from subtle, to say the least.

If he believes the rumors, he probably doesn't think too highly of either of them. I can see where he is pretty disappointed by all three of his children, even though I think it's pretty unfair where Tyrion is concerned.

I kind of thought that with Tywin being the narcissist that he is, that he wouldn't mind Cersei/Jaime as much, because at least they 'kept it in the family'.

Well, no. The reason doesn't seem to have been given directly in the show, but the show wiki cites "The Complete Guide to Westeros: House Lannister" featurette, Season 1 Blu Ray boxset as the source.
This means I'm not sure if it's kosher to elaborate further in this thread.

I'm sorry but I'm little lost... reason for what?
