I was going to mention this too. Except i would say they are more than semi-important characters, they are pretty important to Bran's storyline and his understanding of his..situation. Not to mention they are just awesome.
If so, how would Osha end up having so much knowledge? She's a wildling. [ACoK and beyond]I think they're just using Osha as the one that understands him and combining all of their knowledge into her.

Not enough Game of Thrones watchers follow Downton Abbey it seems.

Ygritte... is perfect. The casting for this show is phenomenal. They keep nailing it for every big role. Ygritte is something else though, they really struck gold there.
Anyone else feel like the Dany scene with the spice guy took way too long? Seemed like it was just the same thing over and over like
can i have ships? no. but im a princess. No. But this is how I got dragons. No. But I need the ships. No.
Didn't help her character much she felt like a beggar with entitlement issues. Reminded me of Viserys without the crazy.
Agreed. That scene was a miss for me. It's a good thing the rest of the arcs really picked up the pace for me in this episode.
But are they really? Osha can fill their roles pretty easily.
She has already proved to have decent knowledge of the world's mysteries, ie the red comet. She always seems to have an answer. If so, how would Osha end up having so much knowledge? She's a wildling. [ACoK and beyond]What about Jojen and his green dreams? The knowledge of cragnonmen?
That's exactly when I thought she was going to say it.She should have said 'you know nothing' the second he asked 'why you rubbin' your ass into my dick for, yo?'
Damn, Ygritte's casting is amazing. That arse wiggling was fairly hot too.

Yay!
You're welcome
Beautiful.
I'm just wondering about (cut characters)if Meera and Jojen are gone...where is our link to Howland Reed now? I also liked them as traveling buddies for Bran
The Westeros review spends a lot of time complaining about Dany's dragons being stolen and how unrealistic it is...but while reading the books I constantly found myself wondering why no one would just steal her dragons and enslave her. I didn't really like how it was done in the show, but I'm not opposed to what happened.
Her dragons aren't hidden away in retarded ass baskets in the book. They're dangerous creatures and only Dany has a handle on them.
The more the show deviates from the books, the better its getting as a television series. I think they have finally learned what it truly means to adapt, and it ain't the Harry Potter 1 and 2 method of just putting the book on screen verbatim.

I don't envy the GoT writing staff.
Coming up with (series)compelling shit for Dany to do in future seasons is going to be one helluva task.

Were they really dangerous in the parts of the book the series has already tread through?
Drogon just mustered up a s'mores quality roasting fire last week.
I'd say the crossbow-wielding gold cloak Yoren took out is more dangerous right now.
Edit- To clarify, I'm talking about the dragons on screen, as I'm sure you are too, now that I re-read what you said. I'm honestly asking though, since I can't remember; were they painted out to be much, much more dangerous creatures in COK, even as baby drakes?

Btw, wasn't one of (or all of) her dragons stolen in ACOK?I recall one of them appearing in THOTU and burning the place down. Was that after she escaped or while she was still inside?

This has happened to me with LOTR both ways. I expect things to happen in the movies that happen in the books and vice versa. It's obviously more biased towards the movies, but yeah ... just something you have to deal with.I'm kind of worried that the show is going to muddle my memories of the books to a degree.

I'll definitely need to re-read the series before The Winds of Winter comes out so that I don't get the events from the show confused with the events from the books.
