Games like Humanity?

I love simple but thought-provoking puzzle games. Absolutely fucking love them. I recently marathoned Humanity, and I absolutely fucking loved it. Very engaging, but also (to me) very relaxing.

Is there anything else recent like that? Obviously there's Tetris etc, but anything else? I don't feel like this type of "weird" PS1/PS2-era game really gets made anymore, but please prove me wrong!

Not recent, but humanity reminded me a lot of lemmings. I guess Oddworld would be another somewhat similar game.

Yeah, Lemmings is obvious. And Chu Chu Rocket. Oddworld I've tried to play several times, different games, but I just never found those much fun. Not the same thing as this at all.

Yeah, I don't really like Oddworld games either, but they do have that similar rescue element to them.

Humanity reminded me of other games but I forgot which >.<....if it comes back to me I'll update the post with them...I should return to Humanity it was really good from what I played

Talos Principle is excellent.

Outer Wilds as well.

Outer Wilds I did try a while back, but the 30fps and input latency killed me. Has that been patched on PS5? Edit: Looks like it has, will give it another go.

Talos is on PS+, will give that a try! Edit: Hmm, unfortunately Talos has severe judder on PS5. Pretty annoying, but maybe I can deal with it in a game like this.

Both games play perfectly well on Series X as far as I can tell. Definitely play them, I think you will find them interesting.

A lot of these games were on handheld for obvious reasons.

Mole Mania and Kwirk on GB
Devil Dice and Intelligent Qube on PSX
Exit and Mercury on PSP
Professor Layton and Picross 3D on DS

Those are a few that come to mind.

I don't recall exactly the name, but there's some stupid, STUPID option in Talos settings to snap to the horizon level. Turn this shit off and it will improve the quality dramatically.

Yeah, I turned that off quickly, that was very annoying. Anyway, the framerate judder was just in the first area it seems, it's fine now.
