Gamescom: Microsoft press conference (August 4; Scalebound, Crackdown, QB, H5+ more)

Theres been plenty of hints, but I don't think its that likely if for no other reason than the head of Rare is on holiday at the moment. I know there are Rare people at Gamescom for Rare Replay so its obviously not impossible but... I don't think its that likely.

Hopefully I'm wrong and we get a bitchin' Banjo Threeie announcement or something but i'd expect more next year tbh.

I'm going to be surprised if they don't announce Battletoads or Banjo.

We know they have at least one other project in the works in addition to Rare Replay and Sea of Thieves, but that's pretty cool if they have all 4 barns on different projects again.

what about him telling the titanfall dev that regardless of what they said, he knew the final resolution would be what it was in the beta? or the ME thing? or PoP? or the bombs from the XB1 release?

If I recall correctly I saw a rumor somewhere in this thread about Crackdown possibly being F2P. Please tell me there's absolutely no weight to that rumor. Crackdown's easily my most anticipated Xbox exclusive sequel and that would kill it for me.

They need to do Alan Wake Remastered, not BC. You could argue for both, fudge that that just do Remastered.

Also they need to do pre-order bonuses as releasing earlier than the game. So if Crackdown (Xbox One) is on the store for pre-order this year and has 1/2 with it let them be available immediately

They do? I thought it was just two projects they were working on? I think we'll see Battletoads, it's been hinted at far too much not to be happening but I don't think it will be made by Rare.

If they're working on another game I guess I'll put my faith back in kampfheld and believe the Banjo game he hinted at is still happening.
 
Personally I think Cboats been compromised. Went from being extremely accurate to being completely inaccurate, ever since Microsoft started taking serious notice and heavily damage controlling. Last few predictions have been laughably bad (Eg Titanfall ones, that were contrary to all the evidence already available).
 
Just picked up an XB1 today, so I'm looking forward to seeing more of Scalebound and Quantum Break.

Most hyped for backwards compatibility though. I have a sizeable 360 backlog, and it's be great if I didn't have to plug it back in!

Nah, I doubt he was compromised. Probably just hemorrhoids. You can only be crazy with your butt for so long...

Considering how absurd it was, I am positive that the Titanfall one was on purpose. It's one of the things that led me to this theory. I'm not aware of the ME thing or the bombs from the XB1 release (are you referring to the stuff that the mods told him not to post?). I believe that the Prince of Persia thing was an actual mistake.

I wish they could find a way bring back the spirit of those ODST live-action trailers, but to be honest, I don't feel like we'll ever see anything as good with 343 Industries.

You have to wonder how you mix up PoP and Halo though... its friggin' Halo. Not that his record was questionable back then but as I said, its Halo, Halo is Xbox.

Just noticed borderlands 1,2&the pre sequel is on sale on 360 this week at deep discounts, seems pretty likely that they will be made BC tomorrow since we know they're coming

Here's a scenario.

Lets say hypothetically, that Cboat Is a janitor.

If you're a janitor who is getting their info via eavesdropping, peeking over shoulders, and via careless employees leaving documents unattended on desks, its VERY easy to imagine him/her seeing the first 70% of that trailer out of the corner of their eye and assuming PoP.

They may have just flat out not seen the remaining 30% of the trailer.
 
Except for the fact that both games are developed by Remedy, can someone please explain to me what Alan Wake has to do with Quantum Break? Thanks.
 
Then why do so many people want Alan Wake to be packed in with Quantum Break? I just don't see why it would be packed in when both games are different IP's and different genres.

It was in a Microsoft survey or something, if they would be inclined to preorder if it was included as a bonus.

There was a survey MS sent out a few months back that had a question "Which of the following would make you more likely to pre order quantum break?" and one of the options was free alan wake remastered, that's mostly why people bring it up I think.

There was a Microsoft survey floating around asking if people would be interested in an Alan Wake remaster/port as a preorder incentive for Quantum Break. People are probably assuming we will at least get BC version based on that
