As does the WiiU, the X360, the PS3, the Wii mini, the Vita, the 3DS, and the 2DS.I prefer consoles I am able to actually purchase, so the Xbox ONE does have something on the PS4 there.

Yup, love those AND the DLC that's coming with them: "history", "consistency" and the already classic "in it for the long run". Yes, yes - I know the last one is eight years down the line, but at least we know it's coming - given the first two titles.
I agree, but it is unusual for a system that is hyped as much as the Xbox One that has been out less than two months to have this much inventory. I am not associating anything with its availability other than it just being unexpected. NPD for December and January should be very telling. It's funny when people associate consoles available with bad sales.

You guys didn't pay attention to the PS3 vs X360 lineups these last three years, huh?
If the Xbone were selling as well as the PS4, the displays and homemade signs wouldn't be necessary.
This is like a car dealership moving the hard to sell cars to the front of the lot.
My GameStop's pushing them too not that hard though. Supposedly they're not selling as fast as they hoped.
Correlation doesn't imply causation, but you can't have one without the other. It does fit the current narrative formed by NPD, Amazon charts and first-hand accounts from people in retail of a significant sales disparity between the PS4 and Xbox One.
But still xbone seems available more than the ps4 . A great mystery.NPD don't show significant sales disparaty between PS4 and Xbox One. Numbers are only until november 30.
About Amazon, as far as I know, Xbox One sold out several times in december.
I expected the Xbone to be sold out till January at the very least. We'll have to wait for the numbers around February and March to see what's going on exactly. There might actually be a contraction going on in the market unless the PS4 manages to do PS2 numbers.
But still xbone seems available more than the ps4 . A great mystery.
Things we've taken for granted all these years are now features that need to be advertised.
what sold-out?!?!? Xbones are available in fucking everywhere
If Sony was flooding the market with PS4s we'd have a comparable situation.
Microsoft is shipping more consoles (Sony has more territories to cover).
Demand is propably lower than PS4 too, with doesn't mean low demand and doesn't mean lower sales because of PS4 supply.
I know I can't expect any store to do this (They do want to sell consoles after all, I guess its more online websites I'm not liking more atm), but how they seem to just be ignoring how the X1 is an inferior, more expensive, bigger machine. It just really annoys me how they try and make it seem an X1 is a legitimate choice compared to a PS4. The only people who are going to get an X1 are people who just want both, hate Sony for [X reason] or just pure love MS/Xbox exclusive games, in which case nothing the website can say will change that anyway.
In fact its quite funny, the only thing websites have the power to do is sway people over to PS4 really... I don't see how if someone can read the truth, (PS4 is more powerful, cheaper, smaller), and then decide to get an X1 anyway, unless you really just don't want to change channels anymore... or want a slower replacement to pressing buttons...
The X1 just has a long way to go really... Realistically it should be priced between a Wii U + PS4, cause thats honestly where it deserves to belong. Still can't forgive them for the DRM stuff either. It was all BS about how they "Listened" to the customer and decided to change, yet later on they were saying they still believed the always online was the future, so.. no they haven't been changed by customers at all, they just couldn't afford the DRM to be used against them as a weapon 24/7. They will be very lucky if I get an X1 because of this alone, they will need to work very hard is all I can say and they have a lot to prove and I don't know if they can do all the work they need to do for me personally just this gen. May make me look at them better next gen perhaps.
Your move MS anyway.
(So this post is more on topic... ha ha, it just seems they're trying to shift stock, not too surprising really, it is pretty cringy to see the handwritten posts, just really seems desperate, ha ha, if that doesnt say the X1 isnt in a good position I don't know what will)
I found this interesting table at a GameStop today, front and center so you had to walk around it, and completely with an interesting home-made sign and in-stock flyers:

I've seen the same or similar set-up at least two other GameStops. They had a few empty PS4 boxes stacked but nothing near as prominent. Inquiries on whether the PS4 was in stock were met with a negative. In the last GameStop, the employee actually said he had a PS4 but was using it as a Kinect stand for his Xbone because the PS4 has no games, especially sports games. I didn't even bother with him.
Take it for what's it worth, but there seems to be a clear push at GameStop to move Xbones. It also appears from the homemade signs that GameStop is still trying to clear the air from the Xbone reveal fiasco earlier this year.
t just really annoys me how they try and make it seem an X1 is a legitimate choice compared to a PS4.

...No, Seriously.
We don't know anything of concrete about this, to be honest.
Of course it is a legitimate choice. Is a great console with a good perspective of games for years.
"Sounds more likely" it's not exactly a fact. Selling out? Not everywhere. I want to be clear, I'm not saying xbone sales are bad.Sounds more likely because Xbox One was more available and still selling out.
The fanboy is strong with this one.
Have you even played an Xbox one? It does a lot of things better than the ps4, as does the ps4 compared to the Xbox.
They both have their own unique pros and cons.
Well, except multiplat...
Ha ha, [Inserts I had a 360 last gen and enjoyed it for most of last gen, so can't be fanboy here]
I haven't played an X1 admittedly no, but I have seen a bunch of videos. In terms of straight up gaming though... I don't see how the X1 beats the PS4 at all...
In terms of just features, the X1 has Kinect and I like the snap feature. Other than that....?
What?
In fact, Xbox One has better exclusives right now.
Microsoft is shipping more consoles (Sony has more territories to cover).
December Npd
Soon soon
I think that is entirely subjective though. I've never been interested in Dead Rising, never played Killer Instinct in the past. I would most certainly get them if I got an X1, but thats the console pushing game sales, not the other way around which is how it should be really.
While for PS4, I played Killzone in the past, quite enjoyed it and inFamous which I'm sure I'll love SS very much.
The problem with MS atm for me is I don't know if I can trust them to keep pushing out exclusives, it was because of them stopping that I eventually stopped playing 360 and got a PS3. It seems they're most interesting in putting that money into getting dlc first or just exclusive dlc, which may work for some people, but it doesnt for me, less so when the games they get the deals for don't interest me so much.
I think that is entirely subjective though.
Not that this matters, because I don't think you care...but Xbox one's online social features are again better. The game DVR, editor, and uploader combined with the friends activity feed is substantially better than the ps4 equivalent. It's pretty damn cool to look at a game in the Xbox store and easily browse tons of user uploaded footage based by categories such as funny, epic, fails, even reviews, etc.
I own both consoles and can honestly say I prefer to play my online games on it.
I'll probably use my ps4 for single player games and Xbox for multi.
It's the same here in Australia, they have stock all over the place. There's not point pushing something that's out of stock (aka PS4)
The places that do have some left over PS4 stock only put up A4 sheets saying they have some stock.
The fanboy is strong with this one.

I disagree.
Having more stock does not equal shipping more consoles.
Covering more territories and being sold out does not equal shipping less consoles.

Of course. Nobody here has the numbers, we just talk about likely scenarios.
Really? Just moments ago you wrote the Xbox one off as not even being a legitimate choice. The new generation doesn't seem to be about new features that directly impact gaming. I'm actually really curious as to what features you think these consoles have that actual improve the gaming aspect alone. It's the smallest hardware jump in the history of consoles. I've been seriously disappointed hardware wise, especially when the mid-range PC I built 2 years ago is more powerful than next gen. It's a service generation. Cloud, better online features all around, social networking, etc.I do care, ha ha. I have to take your word for the online social stuff, (Though I did hear making parties on X1 is more complicated than it needs to be).
The "Xbox Cloud" it has for developers to use seems nifty, but I have no idea what to expect from that and if its really significant.
I'm not trying to say the PS4 beats the X1 in every area btw, but I am noticing the features you list aren't really to do with gaming, its do with the features outside of gaming, which are neat and beneficial, but I just can't see that being a system seller.
If Sony was flooding the market with PS4s we'd have a comparable situation.
The main reason why the XO is likely to outsell the PS4 when it comes to Dec NPD - it be interesting how close Sony gets though, considering how spread its console shipments have to be...Furthermore, with only 13 countries, Microsoft can supply US better than Sony.
