Gametrailers Thread: Good Night and Good Game

I'm wondering what game Blood is talking about that covers 1/4 of the screen with microtransaction ads is. I'm guessing it's one that's under embargo and coming out soon, so there's not many games left to pick from. Just Cause 3, Fallout 4 and Battlefront are all meant to be free of microtransactions, so that leaves Tomb Raider and Rainbow Six Siege.

Unless it's a smaller game, it's Tomb Raider, I don't think they'd have code for Rainbow Six yet.

Enjoyed the top 10 until 3,2 and 1.

Of course they're the top 3, they're not 7s.

It's definitely not the kinda game people wanna see GT streaming

Glad to know you speak for all of us. If I watched GT streaming mainly for the games, I'd never of had to watch a second of Chicago Enforcer.

What if that's the game hey actually want to play and stream?

I don't think many of them are really in to CoD

It's such a boring game to watch, y'all crazy if you'd rather they played that then something else.
But you're right Auctopus, if anyone can make that rubbish interesting it's the GT staff..

Either way, no game is worth taking up 3 stream spots. With that I'm done and look forward to them streaming something actually worthwhile next week!

Good ep of GTtime, but i had to download it from Youtube, because Youtube is being a real piece of shit as of late.

I need to know if i'm the only one (so to speak) with this problem here, it just won't buffer videos further than like 30 seconds or 1 minute and wait till the video stops, to buffer another couple of seconds, until it stops again.

I've tried every solution i've found, nothing works, and it just feels so random, since sometimes (rarely) it loads the whole video in a flash.
Tried both Chrome and Firefox, and Chrome is a tiny bit better, but does it all the same.

I don't know what the fuck they're doing at those Google offices, but if they expect me to pay for that Youtube Red shit, then i should at least be able to watch a 720p video with a 20mb/s connection.

When sites like pornhub have a better player than youtube, makes you wonder what the shit are they doing.

Anyway, just ranting, 'cause i can't find a solution and YouTube seems to hold like 50% of the internet nowadays.

Back to GTtime, Cutting off Elyse was made into a national sport this week, that was somewhat cringeworthy, lol, Ian being particularly chatty in this episode.

Brandon gave the game one of it's highest scores (and the highest out of sites i've heard of except EGM), kinda weird how crazy they are for COD this year. It's so average in every way.

Might be talking shit here but they did do a sponsored post on Twitter about Black Ops.

Then they Trailer Scored a Black Ops trailer that really didn't require scoring and now they're filling up their stream time with Black Ops.

Could be some sort of deal/sponsorship etc.

Either way, the Exec. producer made for a great guest.

The sponsorship was from PlayStation sponsoring Super Fan Builds. This was part 3. One of the earlier ones was regarding Arkham Knight. On our end, the only thing the sponsorship covered are those three tweets.

Okay, fair enough. I didn't mean it maliciously, I was just thinking out loud.

I'm not sure if I'm in the minority here, or if it comes down to a scheduling thing, but the 1 hour GT Times feel too short. I feel like 1:30 - 1:40 would be the sweet spot.

Yeah, I think we all want longer ones here. Someone complains though as Kyle always apologies when they go over an hour.

The stage can be booked by other people is the only issue too. I'd just like it to be longer when they can.

1:30 GTtime would be the perfect length, not sure if it's Kyle's idea to keep it short, or a scheduling problem.

You can tell when it's scheduling because Kyle is talking about how they have to get done quick. But other than that, it seems like it's Kyles call with his apologies. With ManUps talking about viewer retention rates, there might be a large drop off as the minutes go on.

But that would be using YouTube metrics and digesting it as a podcast makes people listen longer. 1 hour is on the short time of most podcasts I listen to.

I love GT Time because it's so short and I love that Kyle is actually trying to moderate it as a show. I hate all these super long podcasts that ramble about one thing forever, take forever to get going and take several turns into off topic land. Pretty much the reason why I never got into the Bombcast or anything similar. 3 hours? Are you kidding me? Who the hell has the time to listen that? I'm here for the gaming news and discussions and don't care about what food these people like or don't like or any of their personal adventures. No reason to waste 10 minutes or more on that. I'd much rather watch/listen to two one hour shows from GT than having a two hour GT Time.

I always listen to podcasts while doing other stuff, so as long as I find it entertaining I like the podcasts to be long. If people are actually watching the YT version I can understand why you'd want it a bit shorter.

I prefer longer GT Times too, but the stage is always scheduled so must be hard.

They really need another podcast just shooting the shit for 2 hours, Ben, it's time to debut Kawaii Central

But, you see, I'd totally watch that show in addition to GT Time. Much how I'd love more Mandatory Update Nights. It would be a different format, different content and some different people. That would be great. Just don't fuck with the good thing that GT Time has going for it, with "it" being the only bearable and good gaming news podcast.

Man Ups IS up.

This part probably made me laugh the most...

Bosman's "Black Socks On Black Tights" song is probably the most funny thing ever to have happened on the show. I absolutely love it, though not when he sings it in that creepy E.T. voice.

Bosman's black socks song was the worst part of the show for me. It ruined the flow and was boring. What made it really bad was that they kept going back to it.

Rest of the show was good overall

;-P

I thought it felt reallty rushed, like Elyse was on a timer or something. She hardly stopped for a breath and it ruined nearly all her jokes as they had no beat.
Must be hard to make a show when there's no new news though.

Also kinda wished they waited for Huber and/or Ben for the Warcraft trailer score, they're the biggest Blizzard nuts in the crew so it would have been cool to hear their thoughts on it (though i actually agree with Brad, Bosman and Matt's mid 7 score).

Oh I meant keep GT Time! Just have something else on the side, much more relaxed and casual, in the capture room or the streaming/recording room. The problem with GT is they have such likable personalities that you just want more! But because they have a small staff everyone's always super busy.

I can't quite put my finger on why but that Man Ups was one of the most enjoyable in a while for me. The musical overtones perhaps?
Jimmy Old Eyes knows the truth about that I guess
