This doesn't really look like you might expect a victory for the blue side to look. When you look at things this way even moreso than by state, you can see how much enormous variation you have between rural areas, population centers and anomalies. There are truly few countries it could compare to and the only competitors in terms of geographic size involve considerably more homogeneous populations (that's an oversimplification, but I'm sure you know some of the things that distinguish Russia and China from the US)

Romero barely speaks english, he is from Cuba, but he clearly said "Go for Jesus! Not forget Jesus, people."

The way he said for-get made people think he was referring to same sex marriage.
 
Made myself a new avatar. It was so hard to figure out what to use for it. I tried scanning through the "Advanced Gay" episode but Abed never had any flags near him. Britta held one during the party but never had it in front of her until she put on a sour face so it didn't work. Found this one in the Trading Places episode and magnetically lassoed Abed out of the picture while on the date with Britta thinking about how much he loves food.

But enough about me...

Does he even know what kind of "rebel" they are? Or does he just think it means "I'm a rebel. I don't listen to anyone."

I truly wonder how many people who love their Confederate flag really actually know what it means and aren't just trying to adopt it as a symbol of something else. Of course this isn't the place for that.

Luckily all of my Facebook friends have been cool about this. I guess a lot of them have grown up a lot since high school, because man, some of them were rough on gays and lesbians as we were coming up (kids were mean as shit in the 90's - nothing like today). Thankfully I can go to my grave saying I never once was a bigot.

No, you're right. Over here in Mexico there were some minor moanings, mainly from the Catholic Church, but in no way was the salt as abundant and extreme as its happening in the U.S.

I don't get how all these people function in society.

America is supposedly the land of the free but only if you are straight and white. Somehow giving equality to other races and sexual orientations is removing their freedom?

You are still free to hate gays, nothing has changed for you.
 
Been scouring my fb for any salt, but I think 99% of my fb is in support of gay marriage. Oh well, I've got this thread. If anyone is willing to take a crack at rainbowing my avatar, please do. Get creative if you can.

You're right, it does seem like satire. I watched the video to the end and as the door closed I thought "that door closing is really weird, it's ruining the shot," but then it was just a terrible visual representation of the woman's metaphor. Also, thanks for linking to the Brass Eye Report, it seems really funny.

Fundamentalist conservatives in the US make our most batshit-insane conservatives in the UK look almost normal. Is it true that none of the Republican candidates in the presidential election next year agree with the 97%-odd of scientists about climate change? That's just crazy for senior politicians, that they know their voters will swallow that kinda bullshit.

We drag our politicians through the ringer if they can't eat a bacon sandwich properly, nevermind if they started banging on about how they disagreed with almost the entire scientific community!

I semi-frequent GTAForums, and mostly stick to the GTA 2, GTA III and San Andreas boards, but today I made the mistake of wandering into off topic out of curiosity.

The 'Gay marriage legal in US' thread ended up locked due to excessive homophobia. GTAF can be such a dump sometimes. It makes me feel ashamed, but its honestly always been like that. I mean, a good portion of users seem to either be 10 - 15 year olds or from the middle east anyway.

I'm so goddamn thankful to be able a member of GAF. Sometimes it feels like one of the few sane places on the internet.
