The new model model "game boy micro of GBA which actualizes small-sized ? light weight conversion in the same day (below, GBM)" was sold and was also a callous, 17.0 ten thousand (approximately shop front digestibility 85% of exceptional case) recorded sales as a resale commodity. As for the sale result of GBM which on the one hand, is sold simultaneously the presumption 14.8 ten thousand units (approximately shop front digestibility 55%). It started favorable exceeds the sale week result 11.0 ten thousand units of GBASP which is sold in February of 03.

Game dormant layer and slow as one of the match which assures the enlargement of game population, directing to the user which cannot spare time in the game, it is we would like to observe GBM which is thrown, in the future can extend the number to somewhere. By the way, the substance color was sold all the 5 colors, but most gaining popularity with Family Computer version, has occupied entire approximately 4 tenths.

seems somewhat low

good luck finding any colours other than Teal and Pink at the moment - Silver , black and Famicom look sold out everywhere in Tokyo.

Here's my Game-Science article:

According to Dengeki, Nintendo's Game Boy micro sold 148,000 in the week from September 12 to 18, spanning a period of six days (launched on the 13th). 55% of the shipment was sold, and 40% of the micro's sold were the Famicom style. That would be approximately 59,200 Famicom-themed Game Boy micro systems. The launch of the micro compares favorably to the launch of the Game Boy Advance SP, which sold 110,000 in its launch period in 2003. Nintendo launched the micro with a reprint of Famicom Mini: Super Mario Brothers, Dr. Mario + Panel de Pon and Mario Tennis Advance.

Also, in the same aricle, it says PSP sold 54,000 units for the week, 2.4 times its normal rate, thanks to the white color, and Winning Eleven 9. No acknowledgement of FFVII, though.

Oh, it definitely won't bomb. Kids will want it. Parents will buy it.

Probably. Japan is virtually the only region where SP sales collapsed considerably (and where the DS is in the lead). SP outsold the PSP and DS (not combined) in August in the US, for one. With the new SP model, I expect that to continue.

Has Nintendo actually marketed the micro? I haven't seen any commercials for it... Come to think of it I hardly ever see any commercials for Nintendo in Canada. How does this stuff get sold?

I don't have the numbers, but DS supposedly beat PSP during the week.

Damn, that would mean 200,000 pieces of Nintendo hardware sold this week.

Must be like a holiday for them. Go Tamagotchi!

'54K PSPs released + micro sales= PSP>DS for the first time in months?"

.... what?

ah, i see what you are saying!

Apparently ... not... well, not according to Mr Sang! ;)

it was respect your elders day on monday - perhaps sony fans decided to show their respect by not buying games and on the flip side, we ALL know that Nintendo do well during the holidays.

Case closed.

You're lying DCharlie, and I have proof!

There's some more data here... guess this is Famitsu data since it doesn't match what dengeki and m-create have released so far, though some of the numbers are the same.

1 GBA M 148,000
2 DS 62,000
3 PSP 55,000
4 PS2 23,000
5 GBA SP 14,000
6 GC 2,000

210,000 from GBA M and DS alone :lol and SP is still going strong. That's just not right.

Oh yeah, I love it when you've just twigged something in the case and the music changes into this dark piece... I'll have to crack open the seal on the soundtrack CD I got and give it a listen :)

Haha.. That made me laugh.

Can't wait for Ace Attourney (sp?) to be released.

If these numbers are true : byebye PSP

If white psp+we9+ff7 advent children aren't enough for the win, nothing will ever be.

DS/PSP war in Japan might already be over

hmm... maybe Brain Training PSP version? :)

I still think there is a good chance PSP will outsell the DS over the next week or 2.

They have some momentum this week which will be continued with a new Gundam game next week (along with Princess Crown and Formula One) and Guilty Gear the week after, while the DS release schedule is fairly poor for the next month or so.

On paper Nintendo seem unbeatable from November onward but you never know what sort of effect somehting like "Talkman" may have on the PSP.

I'm quite surprised GBM sales didnt phase SP sales. About 225,000 of that is Nintendo handhelds. Fucking insanity right there.

Any decent micro cases out yet? I don't like the sock that comes with the unit :P

You don't really need a case for the micro. Any scratching that occurs can be easily fixed, by swapping out the faceplate.

Ah, excellent, my predictions werent bad at all:

GB Micro: 127,000
PSP: 55,000
DS: 50,000
GBA SP: 12,000
PS2: Whatever it did this week minus 2,000
