Got my client code, but not the game code (I think that's how it works?) seemed to get sent right after I renewed my Gold, so that's good. Hang in there everyone!
 
Just got my first code to download it! Wooo! But now I have to go to work. Hopefully I get the access code while I'm away so it's ready when I get home!

I downloaded the client at work yesterday and when I got home it was ready. It says something along the lines of you are not authorized when you launch it and then you get a second code to give you beta access. Launch the game client when it finishes as it seems like it helps the second code trigger to be mailed out. I'm just going on guesses really.
 
I got my download code just a little bit ago. Still waiting on the access code. Hold tight everyone, hopefully everything's straightened out in the next few hours.
 
Wasn't huge on Gears 1 MP, but I played a match last night and man did it seem smooth. My team was trash, but I still had fun.

Do we know what price this launches at?

Really bringing me back to the good ol days!

Just curious because im not caught up on e3 yet, but will the final game ONLY be mp maps from Gears 1 or are there plans for maps from all the gears games? I know the single player is gears 1.

Everyone was running around doing their own thing; I'd stick with a teammate, but they'd usually try to run straight up and get Gnasher'd. Really sucks we can't party up with friends. I'll probably only play one game a day to unlock the skins
 
Am I even going to get the second code if I signed up via the site? Don't want to waste a 10GB download.

Edit: Second code came after I queued the download.
 
Played a few matches, it's Gears the way it was in 2006. Gnasher is still random as hell. I dunno how I could tolerate it in 2006, but my patience for it is pretty low in 2015.

I guess people looking for a simple multiplayer will find lots to love here. There's no unlocks, no grind, no other bullshit (at least, not to my knowledge, since I did notice an XP system in there now). It was pretty popular in 2006 and I'm sure it'll have its fans now. It's just not for me anymore.
