Just Gears 1? Thought I saw some maps from 2/3 plus the weapon skins and assumed it was a multiplayer collection from all three games. Guess I am wrong then...
King of the Hill was on the ranked playlist last night I think. Never tried it though.
Did you try a hard reset (Power cable out)? Fixed my problems last night.

Make sure you download the access, because it is separate or download every thing again
I think maps of Gears 3 are in the final version but this beta only has Gridlock and Canals I think.

Ranked will start a match 3 v 3 but then put someone in the 4th slot sometimes, is there join in progress? because 3 v 4 ranked is not right.
I just redeemed both of them then, does the xbox automatically start downloading what you redeem?

No they won't. All original Gears 1 maps, plus DLC and PC maps. That's it. A total of 19 maps.

I was stuck with three level 1's in KOTH, it was like being matched up with a sack of potatoes as a team.

I'd take it if you don't mind.
There was a guy taking low cover behind a chest high wall. I went behind him, literally stuck the gun up to his body and shot, but missed because the bullets ended up hitting the ground to his right as it came from the centre of the screen.
Gears 3 had Gridlock though and it had TDM, but yea it was faster.

I think the only thing making a move over to this game is new modes and marking targets. everything else is pure Gears1 with the same movement mechanics, weapon balancing

pretty disappointing for myself but there is hope for a Gears3 DLC or even Gears4 in late 2016.

I gotta say that I prefer Warzone for Gears 1, Team Deathmatch just doesn't feel right in this. I am happy that they brought over the ability to call out enemies though.

double melee is faster then recovery and shotgun, half of my shots feel like they do no damage, can't tell if you hit your target or not, matchmaking keeps setting up unequal matches. I'm landing three hard aim shotgun blasts into someone at close range and they just kneecap me and down me in one.
I know it's a beta but seriously, annoying stuff.

My bad. The leak a few days ago mentioned Gears 3, that is what I was going off.
I know man. Absolutely, mind numbingly stupid. You would think they would want to test that to make sure it worked. Why would I wanna play with shitty ass randoms anyway?

Still same old gears but feels a little off though. Still beta though, I probably won't play it as much as I thought I would though.

I have to get used to this going from Gears 3 to this, I feel really thrown off after playing So much Of 3 and going back to the play style of the first.

I just turned it off for the night myself, might be more fun to play when more people understand how gears works and that it's not call of duty.

Game feels great, looks great, and it matches me up with people quickly. Weapon slide is still in, they need to fix that. I want to say I saw some tearing while roadie running out of spawn on Canals, maybe it was just the camera shaking? not sure. Gnasher takes some getting used to if you're accustomed to the bullet spread coming out of the end of the barrel instead of the middle of the screen, after four or five matches I've adjusted pretty well.

Yeah, at first I thought Courtyard, Gold Rush and Sanctuary were Gears 2, but they were actually Gears PC maps first ( I only played PC version for the extra chapters).
There is screen tearing, you weren't seeing things.

One big issue I had in my last match was someone using the pistol / sniper from around a corner, he could see me but I could not see him... and due to the bullets coming out of the camera he was able to shoot at me while invisible.
Really need to look into that guys.
