That was the worst Blizzcon keynote ever. The geek stuff was just horrible, and the reveals mediocre at best. Hope the panels bring some neat new info.

Really, they're kinda in a bind. They can't announce anything MMO-related as they're trying to keep hype up for Cataclysm since it's launching after Blizzcon (they said last year it was supposed to be before), Diablo 3's been at multiple blizzcons and the date will be revealled months before the game comes out, so no reveals can happen there. Starcraft 2, all they can about do is details on Heart of the Swarm. So unless they have a Rock and Roll Racing revival in their sleeves, there's nothing they can really announce, just get into more detail about.

I'm curious if those whining about no release date for Diablo 3 being announced have ever payed attention to how Blizzard opperates when it comes to release dates for their games. They rarely ever say when a game is coming until three or so months before hand at the earliest. Hell, we found out Cataclysm was launching on December 7th just a few weeks ago.

Unless Diablo 3 was launching in March of next year (why anyone would think that is beyond me) there was no way in hell they were going to announce a date for D3, or even a window. I don't see why people bother getting their hopes up.
