Can someone explainable the desire for PS1/2 compatibility? Is it wanting the ability to use your old discs on PS4 or simply being able to download the PS Store version and playing them on PS4? Because I'm sure most people with a PS4 who actually want to play those old games already have a PS3

I have a PS3 but I fucking hate going back to it.

I want to be able to play my PS1 classics like Spyro, Final Fantasy, Dino Crisis etc on my nice PS4 with a Dualshock 4 and all the convenience of party chat, friends, and the nice UI that comes with it.

Yea I guess that's true. I just don't see it as a megaton or anything. Just something that could be a surprise and is added to a random stability patch at some point

And I just got my first PS3 today so I will enjoy playing on it for the next year or so. 8 years late to the party!
