Shits dead right now. No real exciting banners coming up soon, no big story quests, no new areas. Leaks already put us deep into 2.3 where we have a bunch of geo bois including a furry and then back to Dragonspine which should be...

I've seen people get pretty frustrated with the last challenge in the labyrinth. I was able to clear it relatively easily (Klee died twice though) despite never having cleared the Abyss with all 36 stars. The lack of a time limit makes things a lot easier for people without the perfect comp. It is a joke though that there isn't even a single reward for completing.

Thoma looks pretty great for a fire support, and his constellations will actually reduce the cooldown of the skill. I'm not real happy that his kit basically wipes Xinyan's reason for existing off the face of the map, but I do like the pyro application. His burst being 80 energy is the only bummer IMO, since it's the main reason to run him.
I'm going to pull when the banner releases for me until i get enough stardust for Lisa, so maybe I'll get a copy to play around with, luck willing. At least he's got pants and no belly shirt.

I just tested him and he's boring AF to play. Like every character with long CDs.
Sayu, on the other hand is funny AF, like all anemo characters.
I'd like to throw one or two multi but I'm afraid of getting hu tao (I hate everything about her). They also mean a few more "free" blue wishes, though.

Did 3x 10 pulls to get the required stardust to buy Lisa from the shop. Got Thoma, a Sayu constellation, and a Keqing constellation of all fucking things. I couldn't believe I saw a gold star. The last time I pulled anything on the rotating limited banner was when I got Kokomi.

After running out of primogems trying to get the Raiden Shogun's polearm, I hit pity on my first draw on the weapon banner....and missed the promoted weapons entirely. Primordial Jade-Winged Spear seems like a pretty good miss....good enough that I can't justify trying to pity Homa for Zhongli.
(As someone who's f2p, lucking into the crit rate spear, sword, bow, and catalyst makes it a bit easier to not buy the battle pass.)
Also managed c2 Sayu and c0 Thoma, and my Diona is still c5. I think I might be done wishing for the rest of the patch!

I mean... Casino always wins and GI is basically the biggest Casino of our time except maybe for Bitcoin. Although Bitcoin/Crypto is closer to the classical Ponzi scheme lol
Unlike classical LV casinos you don't need to physically visit them and without real money on the line (hello primos and wishes) it's much easier to spend a couple of $$$ for instant gratification.
Plus, for people like me who are already 100% digital(since PS3) and hooked up on PSN eco system buying primos / BP is no different than buying PS Plus subscriptions. Low entry point is the biggest GI achievement I think. Them being cheap bastards is a totally different matter lol
They really dropped the ball, but unfortunately no competition AND the fact that most people didn't cared enough to stop spending they will probably not gonna improve or change anything. Just look at the current event. You got absolutely nothing for clearing the hardest dungeon lol

The fun thing about Genshin vs real casinos is that even when you win in Genshin, you actually lose. You gain nothing of monetary value, so it's just a spend vs spend more situation. I don't necessarily mind paying for a product that I enjoy though, so that's how I cope.
So I've been pissing around with C6 Lisa since I just bought that last constellation from the shop, and I'm having quite a bit of fun. I paired her up with Thoma just for shits 'n giggles, and it's actually kinda crazy but impractical between her burst and overload to have enemies flying all over the fucking place. C6 Gives her a nice little spike damage every time her ele skill is up though. She actually pairs well with Sara C6 because of that, if you manage to Crit. I might build her out proper for meme teams paired with Rosaria, Sara, and Noelle.

Playing a game daily for 1 year and refusing to pay for it despite enjoying yourself, now THAT'S what doesn't make any sense to me. Plus, not like I spent a fortune on GI.
With current PS5 games prices I consider GI BP/Welkin to be relatively cheap.
MiHo being greedy bastards isn't something I approve, but at least they're not R☆ and isn't forcing you to play in coop with randoms who will grief you 24/7. 90% of open world activities is not available for you if you want to enjoy your game/your owned content in peace in private lobbies.
Imagine if you unlock new hero in GI with paid gems and can't complete a simple slime balloon escort mission because of some 10yo edge lord blowing it up AND killing your new hero forcing you to comeback to the city adventure guild and respawn. Sounds fun? ;D
LOL, grats on C6, I respect your dedication to her. Personally I can't justify spending any currency on standard heroes. Especially after Baal madness. Having no primos is ain't as fun as I remember it ;(

For Sara I threw on the spare Amos I got from standard banner a few months ago. From what I read, the high base ATK is better for her buffs, and it finally gave me an excuse to use it.
As always with most of my characters, the big room for improvement is farming artifacts. I've only purposely farmed 3 sets so far - Milelith for Zhongli, Heart of Depths for Tart, and Severed Fate for Shogun. I did get some nice off pieces for like Pale Flame, Blizzard Strayer etc though. The vast majority of my characters are using Wanderer's/Gladiator's or 4* energy recharge pieces from Exile, just because they're "free" drops from bosses.

I've been steadily buying the artifact xp mats from the teapot shop every week in preparation for when I have nothing left to grind other than artifacts. Most of my artifact income right now is the smattering of green/white ones that pop out of shiny "examine" spots. I've been going back and doing nothing but leylines the past two weeks to get my characters the rest of the way from 81 to 90, it's a real slog. After that it's the rest of the talent book grind, weapons from 80-90, then finally artifacts.
I'm already at the NEW limit for arts. Hoarding is bitch lmao
It's actually been kinda nice not getting sidetracked with building new characters in 2.2, so I'm finally getting some real progress in making my core teams stronger. I'm going to leave Thoma in the oven for a while until I get my current teams finished. He's a really good shielder and pyro applicator, but I just don't have a need for that currently.

Hu Tao (or maybe Homa/Elegy?) seems to be doing well. Sales are close to Raiden Shogun levels apparently. Kinda hard to believe, but at least Childe got absolutely BTFO'd.

Both are very strong banners, so I'm not surprised.
HuTao still is strong as F (despite being a melee hero with annoying mechanics) and Homa is THE weapon to wish for. Plus, it's the first time for it be featured on a banner with the "insurance" system. Still may costs you 210 pulls, but for people who are DEAD SET on getting it it's probably good enough.
Elegy has nothing to do with sales. It's a support weapon and support/heal weapons never produce sales. It's all about dat DPS goodness.
I still don't get what MiHoYo plan was with him. I pulled geo 5☆ weapon instead and couldn't be happier lmao.
A perfect fit for Hu Tao ;D

P.S MiHo should watch and learn from GFL2 on how to do capes without covering characters assets.

Just used the wishes from Sayu's ascensions on the standard banner, and got Aquila Favonia at 20 pulls in. Not too shabby! Makes up for the previous C1 Qiqi I guess. I assume my luck has run out for the next few months.

I had saved 17K primos/crystals, plus a bunch of wishes I had already been saving and wanted C1 Hu Tao and Staff Of Homa. First set on character banner I go 76 wishes and then lose the 50/50 to Mona. I already have a feeling at this point shit is not going to go well. I needed that pity to guarantee C1 Hu Tao and now it's no guarantee. So 78 more wishes and I get my pity Hu Tao. 5 wishes later I get another 5 star!!!! And it's fucking Diluc. And that's it. C0 Hu Tao is all I'm getting character-wise.
But I still have enough to go for pity on the weapon banner because I had $80 in PSN credit. So I use it. And I hit that first pity. And it's the fucking useless Bow.
So I used 17K primogems, a whole bunch of wishes I already had, and $80 and I got ONE fucking Hu Tao and I have absolutely no weapon for her. Not even a good 4 star weapon. I think I'm all done and this will just be an $80 lesson learned hopefully. I have a damn pit in my stomach right now from it. Bleh.
I think what tops it off is that my wife has an account which she never uses. She's like AR 11 or so. We do a single 10 pull on it and she gets C1 Hu Tao in that one pull. That's like... totally on you, man. 17k and 1 5☆ is something you should be glad for considering that you were on 50/50.
I lost all 50/50 on my way to C3 Baal. All of them. And most of my C were on HARD pity.
That 80$ on weapon banner is a total waste, either have 210 pulls ready or don't expect anything.

I was just happy to get anything new tbh and I'm lacking 5 star weapons in general. I gave it to Qiqi for now. Hopefully I'll get Jean at some point so she can use it. I'm kind of a sucker for aesthetics.
