Didn't they just revamp it with New 52? What the fuck is going on with comics?

no. they had the justice league, the justice league international and justice league dark.

these are all different teams. just like teen titans has more then just the teen titans.

this is the JLA or the justice league of america.

Has all powerful ring that draws energy from your willpower. Holding a gun with limited ammunition that probably won't work against anything besides non-powered human beings without armor. Cool.

well with the storyline going on right now (rise of the third army) baz wants a backup plan in the case that his ring fails for whatever reason.

So i guess they retconned the retcon where the ring never needed to be charged. By making it dumb

So guns are a real hot topic right now, and how does DC answer? By giving the Green Lantern a gun. That's right kids, if you want to be powerful like the Green Lantern, you too should pack some heat.

Also, when did guns become a threat in comics? Most gun guys have to have like an uzi or a machine gun to do any harm. This guy just has a piece.

I'm pretty sure this isn't an answer. That pic has been floating around for a while now. And to be fair, the first arc of the current GL Corps made a pretty good case for green lanterns having guns.

My bigger concern here is how he fits in with already 4 human GLs.

Edit: Haha, we're still on the gaming side.

Cool lineup I guess? I like it when teams are formed from underrated characters, but this just seems like a mess, especially since its a Justice League team and you have people like Catwoman on it. I'm not too much into comics (I know that the DC universe got rebooted) but I'm fairly certain that Catwoman is more of a rogue anti-hero (sometimes just a villain) and doesn't really fit well into a team.

I've been avoiding New DC stuff but I heard WW is good so I might pick it up.

With that said... did this guy ever got trained by Kilowog? Wouldn't he bash his head for not keeping a spare lantern battery available?

If he plans ahead he shouldn't ever run out of battery charge, should he?
Honestly, in every other arc from GL or Corps, there's a time when they run out of juice or are about to thanks to a thousand plot points that revolve around batteries/willpower/the color spectrum. That kind of adds to the drama though.

Most likely not, with all the other drama going on in the GL-verse atm...

Anyone have that redraw of the Justice League #1 cover that race-swapped all the characters such that Cyborg became the only white guy? That was pretty telling, but I can't find it right now...

Gardner's being
set up by the Guardians for a major fall.
Kyle is
going to be learning how to channel the entire spectrum
Hal is either
going to be a Black Lantern or just generally disappear with Sinestro
And lord only knows about John.

Nah, that's not new. She was already a member during Grant Morrison's run, it was kinda cool.

DC really seems to be going all out with this latest meltdown. Even for the comics industry. So who'll be the big character they'll kill off momentarily suspend in order to 'fix' all this shit eventually?

Johns... sigh. Why's he having such a success is beyond me.

Seriously. I think he had that one peak around the Sinestro Corps War but otherwise, has been pretty shit. He writes some of the worst dialogue I've ever seen in a comic and I'm pretty sure was responsible for the clusterfuck that was the Green Lantern movie.

They already need to reset the whole universe again, what a train wreck. At least some of the bat books are still good.

..

That sounds awful.

Finch's work has always suggested to me what Rob Liefeld would be drawing if he had ever bothered to take a few anatomy classes. Excessive crosshatching, stiff poses, extremely limited range of body types and facial expressions.

Green Lantern holding a gun is on a level of stupidity where it shares company with Flash on a motorcycle.

The best JL was late 90s, early 00s (DC's best time in general) - Grant Morrison's JLA. This isn't even up for debate, come on. Everything since, including the JL cartoon, has been trying to tap into that greatness.

EDIT: How is this still in gaming, lol?

I like the team. It's a grab-bag but it could work - I'd probably cut Catwoman or Katana. Maybe Hawkman. I'm interested in the new Green Lantern but come on a gun? And a handgun at that. I mean, some sort of heavy weapon I could see some use for, but what good is a handgun?

"Haha, Green Lantern! I have been keeping track on just how long your ring can hold a charge, and by my calculations, you've run out!"

"Damn it, Mad Dr. Schizo, you're right!"

"Now there's nothing you can do to stop my evi-"

BANG BANG BANGBANG

If your idea of "being screwed" is a writer putting their creation into a book they are writing then everyone is screwed. Gonna just assume you are a lazy troll.

Besides, I like Star girl, she is fun. Just can't wait to see how many times she blows her secret identity this run.
