Did any of you have some teeth that were impacted? I have a few and theyre actually causing some tinnitus in my ears, and I'm worried about how different the experience of having them removed is from the norm.

I don't have the money to have them removed yet but hopefully will soon.

Are you suffering now? In my case it helped that I was in a shit load of pain before they were removed, so the surgery and recovery pain was just a nice upgrade. In any case, you'll be fine. Good luck!

I fell asleep when they took mine out and the nurse had to poke me to keep me awake. Had 3/4 removed so far, 3 different operations.
It really isn't as bad as people say. Feels weird but with local anesthetic there should be no problem. Just need to be mindful for a few days afterwards so food does not get stuck in the sockets. No dairy for 3 days either.

The one bad experience I had at the dentist was when I had another tooth removed, since it was completely rotten. It was a very odd one and the root canal was triple and complex. So it took 3 procedures to get it to heal enough before they could remove it. The cap did not fit however so they had to drill deeper. And deeper. I spat out blood and gum for a whole day afterwards. That wasn't particularly enjoyable.

I had 2 removed recently about a month apart. First one was complete agony once the anaesthetic wore off, but the second was ok. May be because I kept the guaze in for too long after the first time so didn't let a clot form. Rinsing out with salt water helps as well, the hardest part is eating on one side of your mouth for a few days and finding food that's soft and won't break into small bits or contain seeds

I did it under local anesthetic. 3 of them popped out easily. The fourth one shattered and took 3 hours to get all the pieces out. Gave me nerve damage in that part of my mouth. Good luck!

Also, days later I had a dry socket and had to go back to the dentist who told me he had to tap the bone in my jaw to get it bleeding to heal up. That was painful.

Reminds me of some chick ramming for 2 hours on my tooth and fuck me i was out for 2 days after it. the pain so bad.

I'm 39 and had one out earlier this year. The operation was uncomfortable but not paintful. Recovery was toughest part took a week or two. Only thing to watch for is Dry Socket. You need to follow the instructions for keeping the wound clean otherwise it could get this and you will be in a lot of pain.

Good luck! It's definitely not fun but will be worth it in the long run.

Hey guys and gals. Shortly after Christmas I'm getting all my wisdom teeth yanked out. I'm 38 years old and I've heard it's going to be hell. What were your experiences with it? How long was your recovery time? The pain killers good at least?

My ex had it done, she was put under.

Took her two weeks of recovery, looked like a hamster for the first week.

Top tip, when the Dr tells you what food not to eat. DO NOT EAT IT. My ex could only eat soft food; soups n shit, so she decided to mix it up with rice pudding. Bit o rice got in the hole, two days later we were back at the hospital so she could have her hole flushed out (phrasing).

Rinse your mouth out regularly to stop dry socket. To help remove pain in the area, use a cotton ball or small tampon soaked in cloves (brew cloves in hot water, let it cool, dip the cotton ball in to it and place that on the hole, it helps.

Buy a syringe and use it to flush the area directly, twice a day.

Stock up on soup and get used to not chewing. Good weight-loss program though

i still haven't go mine out. i was refered to get them taken out but for some reason i never got an appointment. luckily it was just an infection and it cleared up. i don't think i actually need them out. changed my mouthwash and i've been good.

i dreaded the thought of getting them out. never had any teeth pulled. i'd need to be knocked out for sure.

Recovery time isnt bad, a week or 2 to get fully recovered.

It all depends on your CT.
Some people have them pretty deep, need to saw off some bone.
Some are just like removing regular molars.

Ask for general anaesthetic. It's far more fun when you're high as a kite.
