I thought the first one was incredibly mid, and showed signs of internal development turmoil. I'm really excited to see where they take it with a sequel and clean up the experience.

I think giving up on Jin's story was the smartest thing they could have possibly done. Really stoked to watch this.

I doubted the first Ghost after that horrible SoP, and it went on to become one of my best games on PS4. I'm not sure how I feel about this.

The plot seems to be copied directly from the manga "Blade of Immortal", which, in my opinion, is a great thing since it is wonderful and is my favorite manga ever.

The first game is probably in my top 10 fave games the last 5 years but i'm just not hyped for this one.

Don't get me wrong, I think a lot of it is to do with Assassin's Creed Shadows releasing earlier this year and being a very similar game in setting, story and gameplay, but at the same time there's also been nothing about this to excite me like the first game did.

Let's see if that changes on Thursday.

I agree, something about the feel of controlling the character just felt a bit off, and the overall experience was just okay.

Hopefully they release a demo so I can see if this one is more appealing to me, otherwise it's a skip for me.

Felt okay to me and it's a very polished experience -- I think it's pretty obvious that they had an infamous-esque morality system in there that got ripped out in the final year of development.

I imagine the play testers gave feedback like, "Playing as the ninja is rad but if I choose the 'good path samurai' I only get to use the sword?!". Sucker Punch caved and let the player just build a hybrid samurai/ninja but the end result is that the game is incredibly easy and unbalanced.

I'm sure it'll be good. I'm expecting it to be very similar to the 1st one. Will get it on sale. Definitely curious to see how it is after all this suspense.

The first one I played on PS4 and just couldn't bring myself to finish. I did end up double dipping on PC and for some reason I was able to stick with it until the end. Fantastic game.

That being said, I don't know why I can't seem to get hyped about this new one. Probably because my playthrough on PC was less than a year ago. I just hope it's not just reskinned. During this deep dive they need to show why it's an improvement over the first one.

Didn't even give up on it. They wrapped it up neatly. Dude was never supposed to be Batman. He just wanted to free his homeland from the Mongol invasion. He did that and they even had him resolve some lingering daddy issues while they were at it.

I don't what else people wanted from the guy.

And what makes you think this gonna be any different? Because shes a woman(I guess)?

Jin was a great character. Serious and focused type of character.

GOT is one of my favorite Ps4 games. They should have made a direct sequel with Jin as the main protagonist. I don't like the actress they use as a model for the protagonist. I hope nothing will be too woke. I'm still going too watch this SOP. GOY is a wait and see status for me.

the first game bored me to death. combat was so bad compared to anything else having sword gameplay (nioh games, from software games, monster hunter games). And i never was impressed by cel shading graphics.

we have great sword gameplay since decades now... how can they still give us this clanky ps2 sword combat?

seriously, just learn from the best! tenchu on ps1 was better than this

Really loved the first game. A breath of fresh air after the dreary and ugly TLOU2. I even got to love the combat.

But the sequels looks dated and samey despite a 5 year dev cycle. I have zero faith in the protagonist especially because they have shown absolutely nothing about her.

If they didnt bother updating the visuals, why would the bother updating the level design and combat? I will tune in to find out but after DS2 I am sure this will be yet another GOW Ragnorak, Spiderman 2 and Death stranding 2. A very well made game that is more DLC than a next gen sequel.

Flop franchise. If Ubisoft could animate their combat systems properly, this is exactly what they would've created, minus the mtx flooding, something they'd do as well. Zero interest in following wind currents, following foxes and taking over copy pasted camps. The worst open world experience a video game can offer. Fuck this.
