Ghost Recon 3 for Xbox 360

The third shot shows off some really nice lighting/shadowing. Otherwise they're small, shitty quality screenshots from a magazine, so I won't make a judgement yet.

-edit-
wow are those trees in the last shot shitty. :-/

I see Square-Enix mentioned in that scan... under the Peter Moore section.

He says they've got nothing to say about SE at the time. He would be surprised if they choose not to develop for the platform at all though.

Who's developing RSC3?

GR3 looks good, but not too great. In one screen character seems to cast a pretty nice shadow, on other screens characters have no shadows at all (hell, not even shadow maps for the trees)

Someone has to be able to translate that info on the 20 gig hdd! :(

Is it included with the system? Because according to the article it looks like it does!

Funny, I have just been told a few minutes ago that GR3 looks jaw dropping in motion. The game was presented today to some people here in France.

They are aiming for at least two million user on xbox live this time around
10-16 release titles
Wireless controllers
Halo 3 this year(?)

Damn, Rallisport Challenge 3 ? Now this is a true surprise for me.

I'ma have to put aside about a fucking grand for November, I just know it. Oh wait, I might as well make the jump and get myself an HDTV as well. Make that 2 and a half grand. Sal wallet = fuckOwned

Article seems to say 1280x720 resolution camera. Nice. Really can't wait to see where video processing might go this time around.

Decent, lighting is nice. It seems like bullets affect the BG too. This is like the opposite of DOA4, great character models but not so great backgrounds (look at the street light).

Detachable and upgradable 20GIG HDD....why so low? :( Well I gues there goes my dream of using the 360 as a DVR.

Wait, does article mention BC anywhere, can't see it.

I don't think it mentions BC

Doom_Bringer: He has no news about SquareEnix and there will probably not be anything revealed at E3. He would be very surprised if they would choose to not develop for the platform at all.

German has some phonetics close to Engrish, but am I mistaken or does it say the 360 controller uses regular AA batts? I hope SethC is right about battery life being close to 30 hours. I would strongly recommend people stock up on quality rechargeable NiMH or NiCD batts and a decent computer-controlled charger, or you'll be spending more on batteries than games. It's not very expensive either. I got a 24pk of 2200mAh batts and a charger (up to 4 batts and fast/trickle charge) for $25 or so shipped online. I was hoping it would have an internal battery, or that they would be rechargeable. Oh well, no big deal IMO.

Also seems the leaked specs were right. Hell, the patents were right in the ballpark. Only a couple things changed overall.

As for the screenies...they're cool. It's first-gen stuff, and not from any big league devs IMO. The Team Ninja stuff bugs me, but I'm sure I'll get over it once I see it in motion. I'm gonna reserve judgement until after tonight's presentation. Even then, there are bound to be some nice suprises at E3. PEACE.

Take a look at the controller.

Theres are numbers around the Xbox logo/sphere.

I'm assuming those are channels so that when you have multiple controllers plugged in, the signals don't interfere with eachother. Much like the Wavebird.

Is that a wireless button? Looks like the wireless symbol...
