Ghostlight Games teasing JRPG port [UPDATE] Lost Dimensions port announced for PC

So with this news. Enchanted Arms for PS3 or 360?

Don't care for less performance if I get more content but in addition to new stuff PS3 has a shorter dungeon?

Lost Dimension wasn't very good, the core mechanic isn't very engaging, the writing sucks, the combat trivially easy, and you need to do multiple playthroughs to see any of the story.

I was once interested in picking up Lost Dimensions during a PS3 sale, but apparently that version can be buggy. Hopefully the PC port will be able to fix some of those issues.

Lost dimension had a terrific concept marred by Mediocre execution. Couldn't finish the game because of a game breaking bug.

Bought LD on PS3 a few months ago for $10 during a PSN sale, I still haven't finished it but it's a nice little game. Now I regret getting it on PS3 though.

Lost Dimension is great! I might actually pick it up on Steam just to throw it a little extra support. I have both the Vita and PS3 versions and I love it. I did a Lets Play sort of thing last year on it: Lost Dimension - My Favorite Games

Its exactly the kind of mid-tier game that has been in shorter supply between all the AAA and indies we are used to getting lately. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys strategy rpgs and JRPGs.

Hey, it could've been worse. This is actually not a bad get. Not sure why anyone got their hopes up of it being a Namco or even less likely (which means practically impossible), a Square-Enix game.

damn ho the hell they managed to got Atlus translation? i thought Atlus hates PC

Code of Princess is also on Steam. Though I'm not sure if that even uses the Atlus localization.

Sums up my feelings, I wasn't expecting anything good (maybe a 7/10 tier Vita/PS3 game I hadn't tried at best) and yet it still fell far below my expectations. Shame that all the JRPGs people actually want on PC are stuck with publishers that don't care, and the little guys that care to port them can only pick up the scraps that nobody wants.

It's a game without dual audio but we have the access to the JP voice files thanks to the Vita hack. It's a good enough game that will now have a definitive edition once modding is in.

3DS games don't translate well to PC. It'll probably be the other Furyu title getting localized...

I wish more companies would give it a go. I think any stylized stuff would do just fine, and I'd probably lump Legend of Legacy/Alliance Alive in that.

It'll probably be Caligula down the line then I guess, but at least that one can be given a decent framerate on PC.

Maybe Ghostlight can make all our dreams come true by PC porting AND localizing Exstetra (and bring across the Vita version).

This gives hope for Caligula on PC and that makes me happy. Can't say I have much interest in Lost Dimension though. Would be willing to give it a try, however.

I imported Exstetra when it was like $20 a while back. It's not terrible really, I ended up liking it more than Legend of Legacy at least and got the platinum trophy.

I rented lost dimension a while ago and actually quite enjoyed it. Quit because the frame rate and load time on Vita is shit. Hopefully the OC version will be much better

This was a really good game. Underrated. Soundtrack was really nice too. Really enjoyed the combat system and the character interaction/detective aspect of the game. I feel that is has some really cool concepts that could be ironed out and perfected into a sequel or spiritual successor that would make for a fantastic game. If you enjoy Strategy RPG games with Action elements it's fun.

it's nowhere near terrible, hyperbole and all that

No, it is in fact terrible. The worst RF game by a country mile. Boring characters. Lame gimmick with the Golem. Very little to do. The only thing it added to the series in a positive way was slightly more interesting combat mechanics.
