Surprisingly when I played in the beta, randos would usually pick until the little pop ups went away. It was surprisingly decent playing it solo?
Yeah this was my experience as well, it was kind of surprising.

I'm disappointed Overwatch doesn't keep the weekly playlists. What ran during the beta gave me an excuse to try different characters. This new arcade playlist is fun, but it's also gone in a week? I don't get it.
Like, other than reaper being an edgelord, is there enough characterisation in general to make people actually hate or love a character?

It helps that the support characters are just fun to play. Lucio is fun, Mercy is fun, Zenyatta and Symmetra are all interesting.

It's the same "Brawl" mode they have in hearthstone. A different set of rules each week. What happens in Hearthstone is that they'll introduce 4-5 rules and then kind of just rotate them around each week. Occasionally they'll get around to developing a new set of rules and implement that in the rotation too.
Alright, so kinda like TF2 then.
If Tracer is the scout equivalent I expect to fucking hate her.
That happens with most big releases though.
(Jeff playing as Mei)
Dan: What's this character's name?
Drew: Lost Planet.
Ok that "But he points out that WWE has no mercy" got me lmao
Jeff actually enjoying playing a healer is the highest possible compliment to Overwatch.
most fun I had in my limited time with TF2 was medic, by far
Soldier 76 is way more of an edgelord than Reaper
Healing is fun! Teamwork is fun!
Overwatch: not super murdery
Less murdery than the vast majority of shooters, more murdery than Splatoon.
Splatoon is super murdery
No one dies in Splatoon. They just Splat back to the spawn. The splatoon world is a happy post apocalyptic land.
Sounds like eternal hell to me.
Doomed to forever be splatted only to return to being splatted again.
yeah but splatting is both cool and fresh
Have you ever been splatted before? Not pleasant.
It's like a whole body ear-pop.
