In the grand scheme of things they out out many more good games though. Generally nothing plays quite like a Platinum game.
Also I'm still not sure what Platinum did for SF0 exactly.

From my simplistic understanding of the development of the game, I thought Nintendo's internal studio, EPD, developed the gameplay system and Platinum was responsible for the level design. It's probably a lot more complex than this.

I know three things about Nier.
1) It's weird.
2) There's a talking book.
3) Someone at Polygon wrote a bad review about it.
Oh and maybe 4) people like the soundtrack.
It's a somewhat divise game but I loved it.
It didn't play great and looked like ass but I loved everything else.
It also has one of the wildest one-off gameplay systems I've seen in a game.

Can't tell if true or damage controls, but folks say they brought the crew, Miyamoto was steering the ship.
That said, worst parts of Bayonetta are the rail shooting sequences. Should've got Treasure...if they exist.
5) You hve to play thru it twice (maybe more?) to know what the real story was.

But Rising is real good and Transformers is solid.
Plus a director working on it who was the director for the one good low budget Activision Platinum game and also helped make Rising into an actual game.
Would Drakengard 3 have been a better game if it had better combat?
This is a real question. I never played it and the reception seemed pretty tepid compared to Nier's.

It actually had a pretty decent combat system that was brought down by the bad framerate and screentearing. It's a good game though like Nier and D1, ymmv
Edit: tho i am a bit biased as it was my goty for that year. There are plenty of people that will tell you its bad and they aren't necessarily wrong.

Yeah I usually deal with these tweetstorms by doing only a quick scan of my whole timeline. Very prone to missing stuff.
Some twitter clients can mute someone for a day, but not mine. Hashtag muting doesn't help if the persons do not use it consistently.
To end on a positive note: I hope Alex already has some ideas for "proper" use of the new twitter features.

I thought I had his retweets disabled to scale it down. But looking at it now, that's not even the case. Somehow I manage to follow him.
But I can totally understand you, I regularly unfollow people because of too many tweets. It's easier to skip twitter if I'm consuming other media by them and know they're doing well this way.
Same, I have them in a list in their own column. plus a real follow on two special GB twitter peeps.
Good on you. I'm very annoying on Twitter.

It's supposed to be like that as an incentive to not die, since having a faster move speed would break a lot of those game modes.

Death is more punishing when you have to walk to the battlefield. Encourages having healers or supports which is a hard sell for players because they're not always in the spotlight or doing a ton of damage themselves.
