Giant Bomb #8 | It's a Hit!

I'm really enjoying the Sniper Elite 3 Quick Look. The 'Oh My God' comment from Drew and the dynamite self kill. Great first quicklook from Dan.

Everyone I know who spent more than 30 minutes with MGO actually really liked it, to be fair.
Although I guess you could say that about any game...

How do the quick looks work? Are they in the same room? I'm trying to figure out why Dan thought Sniper Elite was being played on an Xbox One...

The game would have been okay were it not for the horrible latency making the entire thing unplayable.

Most people didn't make it past the horrific registration/login process. Barring hacks/lag (admittedly which there was a lot of) I found the game pretty damn fun. It had a ridiculous charm to it.

They are in the same room. There's a few videos on the site thats shows the room but it's hard to search the videos on the site to find the image of it.

That said, condemning people for not being knowledgeable on a topic does not encourage learning. It makes those people feel bad. Instead, how about making recommendations or going about enlightening those people on things you deem important in a reasonable way? The insults and melodrama are counterproductive and a bit much.

Very well said.

Everytime I re-watch the Miles High Club video it always warms my heart when we see a shot of the couch after he won and you see John, Jeff, Alexis and his other friends are still there to cheer him something like 4 hours after the end of the show lol.

That Sniper Elite Quicklook was great.

Drew's "Oh my god" was glorious

also the X-rays and especially the rock throwing in the last part.

The history stuff i'll forgive since its not everyone is gonna know that stuff from memory or even care.

Dan's making a great impression right now.

As a whippersnapper correspondent who is still in high school and just covered World War II this past school year, we definitely learned about the front in Africa, the occupation of Paris, and even less commonly covered topics like Japanese internment camps. We did a bunch of everything. I can't speak for every school and every teacher though -- I had a good teacher. But the notion of some saying things like, "future generations are doomed!" is silly. If anything, many of these topics are being taught more as they become less taboo.

Future generations redeemed!

It almost feels like Giant Bomb and Dan Ryckert were made for each other.
I liked him in GI's Replay videos, but I wasn't a fan of the way he was made the "villain" of the bunch, jokingly or not. He felt a little out of place there, which now seems to have been rectified.
Loved the stuff with Afrika, WW2, and Drew. Here's hoping for many more shenanigans!

I remember in one of the episodes before the BLLSL segment Brad switched to easy mode and still couldn't complete it :D

There was an X input up there for a bit before Dan asked so that was probably why.

or maybe he just knows Giant Bomb are huge Xbox Fanboys that would never touch a Sony console unless forced.

"What time period are we working with here?" -- "I believe this is, uh, World War II?" -- "Okay, ... in Africa?" -- "There was some ..." -- "Was there?"

I'm watching the archive of the second half of the Supply Drop stream. The Sims game is just beyond a complete clusterfuck, launching rockets indoors leading to the fiery death of Jeff, Alex, and baby Brad :lol

is it The Shrink Shack™ room from the Gamespot crossover shows they did?

yeah. to me it's most memorable for being the room that Patrick was in on that one episode of professional wednesday acting like he was in complete and utter agony. I've never stopped thinking about it as some kind of awful torture room.

lol @ drew in the background of Sniper Elite 3.
Africa is pretty big miss I'm no WW2 expert or anything but man that is a big miss.

But still I loved the QL Dan is great :D
