Dan is a worthy substitute for Vinny in Kinect QLs, makes for a great team with Jeff.

Dan's not afraid to bring some positive energy and actual bodily exertion into this, while Jeff is good for reminding us that Kinect still is a piece of fucking shit.

win-win

Dan was definitely a good hire. Does Jason want to stay behind the scenes or does he lack the personality?

Jesus, deal out the burn medicine much? Tact, wherefore art thou? I'm sure he was hired to help Drew since Vinny left and if anyones taking more of a spotlight from the production arena it'll be Drew as he's the alpha dawg in that respect.

they were pretty explicit in their job description that they were looking for a behind the scenes guy, who was not looking to be on camera all the time.

It simply isn't what he was hired to do.

So one of my friends was playing Spec ops and it reminded me of the Spoilercast Gamespot did with Jeff in it. The one where they grilled the lead writer. I was looking for it but it seems Gamespot has deleted it :(

I see you are drinking 1% milk. Is that cause you think you are fat? Cause you're not. You could drink whole milk if you want.

Part of the job description for his job was to be an on-screen personality when needed, so it'll be a part of his job eventually. I'm sure it's not what they need right now though.

So much of the Gamespot backlog has been lost during changes over there. It sucks.

That wasn't meant as an insult.

That engineers and video guys like Drew, Dave, Alexis and Vinny have found their way in front of the camera has been due to GB's unique setup as a small upstart team of friends and shouldn't be expected to happen every time someone is hired for production work.

Nah, it will happen every time someone is hired for production work.

Well, even Ian got some time in front of camera, and he was just a CBSi engineer! The SF office is getting crowded now, so I'm sure he won't be needed as a permanent member of UPF or anything like that now. But it makes sense to have him be the fighting games guy along with Jeff in those QLs, and have him drive character action games QLs since he's a huge fan of those kind of games. And from that, who knows?

I think Jason should've got something sorted for when EVO was on, maybe next year, or like some Tekken 7 coverage? Maybe JSON is only an SF guy?

You have to remember that he was moving to SF and starting a new job right around the time EVO was on. So I don't blame him for not going to it, or making any content around it.

From what I gather he's mainly a SF guy, but also a fan of fighting games in general, the FGC, and all types of character action games (Platinum Games in particular).

Search Dota 2. Click on Dota 2. Click on Videos. They are all there. Super easy.

Thanks. I was searching for Daily Dota and only got a random selection when I did. This is perfect! :)

Pretty sure they are not all there. I looked up the exact same thing a couple of days ago.

Honestly, the best way to find all of their stuff is google, imo. As far as chronology is concerned, I just add subsequent dates and see what turns up.

More or less every video is there, for sure. There's 52 videos, 40-ish of them are Daily Dotas.

If you're looking for a video series, the best way to search for it is by searching for the game in the Wiki. They're usually decent at tagging the videos to the games. But if you're just looking for one video then, yeah, Google is the fastest way.

GB has had a bad search function since day 1. You have to know the site to know that you have to search for the game in the Wiki to find most videos, and not search directly for the video. It's not exactly user friendly.

UK totally got Moomins. I think it might have been one of those "magic roundabout" things where instead of translating for the dub, they just made up lines and story from what was happening on the screen. Either that or the original was just nuts because I remember it making zero sense.

edit: or maybe not, seems most of europe got their own dubbed a versions and the opening lyric at least seem to be a direct translation.

Probably porn.

Definitely porn.

Daily Dota Chat Test Bonanza is the only Daily Dota video that isn't tagged as a Dota 2 video I think.

Anybody know how tagging works?

Well, they only surface the tagging under articles, not under videos. But in theory they should always tag every trailer/original content with every game featured so it's easily searchable in the Wiki (this week's UPF can be found in the Wiki for Mount Your Friends, Windjammers etc.). In my experience they do a pretty good job with it, with some exceptions.

I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm saying you shouldn't expect it to. :p

If it does happen, great! More faces, more variety etc etc.

Giant Bomb has not hit my dogs in videos quota for a while. All they do is post videos of games they play. Where are the dog videos? This is not the Giant Bomb I remember.

Is the "It's a hit!" reference in the title due to the 60s Battleship box with the sexist undertones?

Quote from Jeff Green during one of the nightly E3 2014 live shows. He was explaining to everyone that his new job at Hit Detection (game consultancy firm) has him telling clients whether their game is a "hit" or not.

No I haven't, which is the main impetus for getting it now, or waiting to get the Destiny bundle if that game turns out any good.

Watch the QL for the PS3 version if you need to know now. They probably are going to QL but probably not a priority given the minimal changes.
