It's like a quicklook, you never function at your peak when live streaming something. Just go slow and use the motherboard's included booklet and you'll be just fine. Every board I've ever bought came with a thick booklet walking the user through the build step by step.
Him taking pictures of whatever he wants to buy and showing it to the chat was probably a good idea. Ian's on it in the chat.
The zoomed in picture on this stream is so fucking sharp.

I think he's making a video with the Tested guys when he builds it.
Chat is clamouring for fan up on the psu, but mine is fan down and I read at the time that that's perfectly fine as long as there's a gap. It's not like air ceases to exist in a smaller area, and with cool air being pulled in from the front intake on the case, it might actually be the most efficient way to do it. The alternative is pulling air down from the hot graphics card?

Fan down is the way most cases are designed now, yeah.
more like bought a smaller case. thats standard size for gaming GPUs these days
Luckily for Dan he was talkign to Norm which means while it won't be as fun a video, it will be quite informative. I used a video with Will 4 years ago when i built my first pc
on another note, how hard is installing a water cooler? I live in the california desert so i can really only game with the ac on, so if i can keep it down that would be amazing

Mine is vent up and I have had no problems. It's not actually sucking hot air from the video card because the hot air is being blown out the back of the GPU.

Yeah that kind of stuff is not going to matter one bit especially since I doubt they're going for the max clock frequency or anything.

Seeing Gary Whitta lose his mind over predictive text was amusing. That has literally existed for over 5 years on Android.

Closed loop is really easy - not much more to it than a normal heatsink - but the temps are about the same as a high-end air cooler and is (generally) limited to CPU. So your air cooled GPU might still struggle.
A standard loop is a little trickier, but I find a lot of it is down to your case. A good tower designed for water cooling makes the whole job infinitely easier.
The build a pc guys should have better advice about dealing with high ambients.

Chances are the water cooled heat sink they're talking about would work perfectly unless it has a giant radiator like a H100 or something.
Streams like this when a lot of the chat talk shit like their experts is why I don't understand the hate for twitch chat. I'd rather see all that scrolling random dumb stuff to have a laugh at than short paragraphs of people trying to sound smart.

This CPU/Heatsink is hilarious. I have like 4 at home, but I'm at work otherwise I'd just give it to them. Microcenter is 40 minutes away in Brooklyn
The thing about the Twitch chat is more how fucking awful it can be. The Gamespot twitch chat during their Destiny stream was case in point. The GB chat can be awful too, but the Twitch chat is on another level with racial slurs etc. on popular streams.
