Exactly.....I think alot of people guffawing in this thread don't realise how huge this is. This could actually cost them millions in lost deals if/when he loses that number
Nah. He's doing business with the likes of Microsoft. Dudes a mad hustler (in a good way), but he ain't fuckin around with just one cell phone or another line of communication. It'll suck for the night and getting shit squared away for the next week but it'll be alright.

Johnny gotta worry about a talking down from Lang and Disney in the coming days then like a couple years of everyone being like "well at least I didn't tweet your number out".

Honestly, I feel like after a week or so people would stop flooding his phone. Lang could post a tweet saying he'll tweet out any unrecognized number that calls or texts him and that would deter most people. For a 16 year old number, it's definitely worth fighting for.

Yeah I would guess after a few days only the persistent trolls would keep trying, at least on my phone you can block individual numbers pretty easily if need be.

What. He'll just give out his number to people again and yo, I sure hope Iron Galaxy have other forms of communication than Dave Lang's private phone number.

Anyways it was a real bad thing Johnny V did but it was hilarious for us and it'll inconvenient Dave Lang for just a little bit.

Plus, if he's on Android, assuming his phone doesn't have it built-in as a feature, there are a few call/text blocker apps out there with list functions and filters (e.g. contacts-only mode). Unfortunately, I forgot which ones were the good ones.

That was insanity. As awful as that was, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Awesome night and a fantastic week of coverage overall.

That would have been the case 10 or 15 years ago, but by now there are plenty of ways to reach out to people. Lang can reach out to people through e-mail, twitter, and other social media. I do feel for him though - losing a phone number you have kept for 16 years would be a nightmare.

I missed the segment at work, watching now at home. This is the best live segment theyve ever done, easily.

I can't believe the variety of people that had come over and real talk with them.the man who launched the multi billion vr industry, naughty dog, spencer, 343, and tons of other devs. Jeff's connections are deep.

It pays to be the best at what you do.

Going to be honest, while I thought the Ed Boon/Lang/JV video was great I didn't think it was some holy-shit-oh-my-god-how-could-they-do-that segment as some have described it. I didn't even think it was some painful "awkward" interview as I knew they were all friends and colleagues. Don't get me wrong, still loved the segment, but I just didn't think it lived up to this wild status it got.

But this shit tonight? Yeah, this was legendary.

And Jeff is such a great interviewer. He can change from serious to jokey in an instant, whatever is appropriate. He asks the right questions in the right way. Nearly every single guest segment was great the whole show and I think Jeff being host has a lot to do with that.

The real shame is that we're only getting this kind of thing from him during E3.
This needs to be more of a weekly Giant Bomb segment.
He's clearly in his element doing this. Probably moreso than when he's gaming.

You know how we all have at least one of those moments in our life that is cringeworthy and that every time you remember it for the next 15 years your body kinda tense up and you think "Ah man, wtf was I thinking"?

Yeah that's one of those for Johnny now lol.

I could see Jeff do a semi regular interview show similar to Adam's "The talking room" on Tested.

The GDC segment is infamous for what happened afterwards. Obviously this and the Leigh event were more infamous during the streams themselves.

Going back and watching Vignocchi's face while he was tweeting that out. He was so into it. I'm still laughing. Him using web Twitter is amusing to me. Adam Boyes was in almost all of the big moments of E3. I enjoyed all of GB's content over the week.

Here's a video of Jason getting blown the fuck up in Street Fighter V. You can see Lisa and Dan in the background for moral support and Drew on camera duty
So they are filming show floor stuff, nice.

edit: That other guy won the whole tournament? No shame in that.

Really enjoyed the live shows this year. The coordination of guests was mostly very good.
Never heard Lorne Lanning speak before but damn was he interesting. Kind of a shame Jeff Green had to be on that panel only because he didn't get to do his thing as much since Lanning was so dominant and interesting (in a good way).
The last segment was pretty hilarious.
