Remasters of last gen games are hilariously pathetic when they're already out on PC looking better and you can mod in stuff like SweetFX and what not to improve your visuals if you really care about that.

On the topic of remasters, and because right now in this industry I think it's important to never stop giving due praise for pro-consumer practices where applicable, I want to give huge fucking props to Larian Studios for coding up a remastered / rebalanced / rewritten version of Divinity:OS and choosing to give it to existing owners of the vanilla game for free.

Why can't I just get the single remaster I want? The Mass Effect series.

I missed out on them and have been waiting for a while just because I kind of expected some kind of collection before the next game. It's looking less and less likely the longer it goes.

This dialogue system in Fallout 4 is almost a guarantee that I won't play it. I hope Bethesda isn't going to pull a Bioware and carry it over to TES.

InXile is doing the exact same thing with the GOTY edition PC release for Wasteland 2.

They're made for the many people who refuse to build PCs for whatever
stupid
reason.

I can't imagine playing Skyrim on the 360 when the PC version existed in the first place but millions did.

The amount of people complaining that GB is "ungrateful" in the Youtube comments is hilarious.

Dishonored + all DLCs costs 15€ right now on Steam and will probably get even cheaper.
Sooo....if you have the hardware and want to play the game before Dishonored II I would suggest you buy it there.

You could also buy it on PS4 for 60€ I guess.

You can't be serious?

What would make them happy? GB fellating publishers 24/7? Some people really deserve the rise of shady youtubers.

A hero on Youtube said:
Ok, no, fuck this. Fallout 4 goes out of it's way to implement new, extensive and interesting features, and these pricks just give a resounding "meh" or outright criticise it for no fucking reason. Come on!

So...yes. Fellating publishers would probably make them happy.
But not it it's EA, Ubisoft, Konami or Activision (minus Blizzard). Those are the evil ones.

what did or didn't giant bomb do?

They did make fun of games.
They didn't fall over in excitement because Fallout 4 is a game.

It's mainly Jeff and Alex who make the majority of the knee-jerk jokes about whatever is being shown during the press conferences. Including games that they're actually interested in. Which, I mean, that's what those guys have always done, so I don't get why some are shocked by that. Vinny tends to be pretty hesitant to toss around immediate praise as well, he usually asks pretty legitimate questions. Dan and Brad seemed to be the least inherently cynical of the bunch, and I think they balance out the group's commentary well.

But yeah, sometimes Alex's brand of humor can land with a thud. It's why it took forever for me to get used to him on the Giant Bomb panels at PAX.

Caught a little less than the last half last night and I gotta say from what I saw if the other pressers can flow and be as entertaining this E3 might be more special than I thought. Tons more info than I thought Beth would present, and as far as Giant Bomb is concerned the group dynamic seems to be really wonderful with the old and new staff. Thinking of ways to sneak watching the Microsoft showing at work and hoping Sprint doesn't screw me like it did last night with the constant drops.

Speaking of watching on a phone, were they not streaming to twitch last night? I can watch through Youtube as a back up, but for some reason I have more issues with youtube on my phone than I do with Twitch.

No, I don't think they were streaming to Twitch. Dunno if it's just a one time thing, Drew mentioned before E3 that they would try to stream to both YT and Twitch.

edit: Holy shit these Youtube comments.

Why would you do that to yourself?!

The live Youtube chat during Friday's stream was out of control. Repeatedly calling Brad fat, how the site's gone to shit, hating on Patrick and doing the same to Austin, using words I dare not mention. I mean I get it, it's Youtube, but it was a very bad place to be if you were a fan.

How does anyone even get offended by Austin's article about The Witcher 3 anyway? He goes out of his way to qualify and back up his statements. I can maybe understand if you got mad over Leigh Alexanders 'Gamers are Over' article (I didn't, but I understand if someone else did) but if you really got mad over Austin's article then you are a very delicate snowflake.

I guess you'll know tonight, with a likely Mass Effect 4 release in 2016 they would need to get that remaster out there until Summer 2016. So only E3 (and maybe Gamescom) to announce that for EA.

Probably a bunch of 4chan assholes and the like. People who have been kicked off the site, more or less. Unmoderated live chats are always the absolute fucking worst, Youtube live chat is the thing that makes me really sceptical about Youtube's new gaming push. It literally sounds like hell on earth.

As to your point about Austin's article, a lot of people will get mad every time social issues are even touched on relating to gaming. Look to Reddit, 4chan or 8chan (don't go to 4chan or 8chan) every time it is discussed. The discussions goes like this: Slur slur slur slur slur slur slur, the end. And yeah, the "delicate snowflake" comment is spot on: These people always scream bloody murder every time they see someone use a trigger warning, but MAN are they the most easily offended people on this earth when it comes to this. You only need to whisper "sexism" and they come out screaming "SJW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

Well, let's hope it was just an issue last night.

It's about the only thing I'm hoping to see from EA.

I've played Mass Effect to death and I'm honestly more excited about a trilogy remaster than a new one.

I'd play them again on PC, but I'm not buying the DLC again and going through the Bioware Points system.

With the DLC almost never going on sale (on all platforms), a $60 collection wouldn't even be more expensive than getting all of the games right now.

I'm a fan of Alex. Brings a lot to the table and I enjoy his darker humor. The younger generation wants smiles and candy 24/7 and that to me is annoying.

The YouTube comments are crazy, especially because I thought the guys seemed quite positive last night.

You need to really praise the developer, know that you're lucky to be alive when Bethesda is making games. Really just soak them in praise, love every minute of the Doom demo.

And even that isn't enough.

Some of you are pretty rough on Alex. He obviously has anxiety, adhd, or some other mental issue. Probably why he smokes pot to relax himself. Never much understood the Alex hate, he is one of the few that will get deep into conversation about games and what systems in them he likes/dislikes. Out of all GB (and I love them all) Brad gets on my nerves the most because he just makes it seem like his life is a chore and so hard, he has to be the most tired person I've ever seen. Imagine he had a physical labor job? Yeesh.
