Giant Bomb @ E3 2016 | WEED3

It was really hit or miss. It had incredible moments but there were also a lot of annoying chaos where people were talking over each other.

also it led to situations where an interesting but less camera fresh guest got drowned out by loud people. like this civ dude probably would've talked once

i didnt mind the chaos but itd be a big bummer when there was a dominant personality that overtook the segment when i wanted to listen to other guests

Did he ever show up again? I only ever remember him being on once years ago.

Would be awesome to hear his thoughts on some stuff going on at E3 though.

No, he didn't. But that was an epic segment... all thanks to Adam Boyes. First, he brings Evilore an early copy of The Last of Us, then he brings out a DualShock 4 (Microsoft did the same with the XB1 controller earlier that night), and finally he brought out the PS4 itself.

Trying to catch up on all the media, youtube lives and now Giantbomb live is hard work let me tell you.

Love Giantbomb Live at E3 though, so comforting. The best was when they were in that shaggy house in 2009 or 10 with Jaffe. The guy owned the entire night.

Every time CIV gets mentioned i get depressed because i have no idea how to play and don't have the attention span to go through in-game tutorial stuff. I have tried looking for video tutorial stuff that isn't 3 hours long but i end up just installing, doing a bunch of random shit for an hour and then uninstalling and never thinking about it until it's mentioned again.

What Palmer just said is exactly how I feel about Heroes of the Storm for example, I kinda wanted to get back into it but its been so long now that I would just be trash at it so I never do. Its also why im kinda "forcing" myself to play Overwatch atm even tho Im kinda burnt out on it because I fear that if I take a break I wont be able to get back into it :/

Same for Street Fighter 5 really, I havent played in months and every time I even think about it I just think Ill get destroyed and its not worth it.

Poor kid. He can say "My Uncle works at Firaxis" and no one will believe him.

The sad thing is, as incredible as they are, I doubt many kids today would even know who Firaxis is. I love the games they put out (Civ V is my game with the most hours played on Steam). It's icing on the cake that they are Maryland based.

Yeah, that's exactly why I burned out on competitive multiplayer in general. It started to feel to much like work to me. Nowadays I almost only play single player.

the thing is CIV is SO MUCH EASIER than any other sort of epic strategy game. THey are so fun. And so worth trying again.

Try Civ Revolution to get started. There are phone versions, and the basics are there

I know this is off topic but im really surprised we didnt get a release date for Tomb Raider on PS4. I was sure it wouldve gotten announced somewhere assuming its coming out this fall.

Cool i will download it tonight and check it out tomorrow

By the last night of the show, I'm going to need one of the guys to take a picture of the blackboard and decipher what all the scribbles and drawings refer to.

Please.

Anyone miss the roundtable style they used to do for these? I like the new format, but the old style felt a lot more surprising and fun.

It's way more formal...but the discussions are alot better as a result. It's obvious Jeff prefers this format over the chaos of the old style

Hmmm Palmer that's not what the Best Buy rage was about...Anyways that huge fucking Revive elephant in the room is not going to be addressed. You see Jeff trying to kind of bring the big question in, but Palmer isn't going to just bring it up.

Damn. Reading that and listening to the stream right now as he's talking about feedback/criticism is kind of an interesting exercise haha.

I get that he was frustrated when making those comments on Reddit. But he also has to understand his role in hyping up what VR is and how his comments can be detrimental. I don't think he understands that.

i dunno man if i was a twenty three year old with a reddit account in charge of a company that everyone loved and then suddenly started hating i'd probably say some snarky stupid shit too. there's an honesty that i appriciate even if it's frustrating
