What GB video is this from?

It's great
There are like six vids titled "E3 Day 1" on their Youtube page.
This sounds like when they had those MS guys on a couple of years ago. That Palmer Luckey stuff was pretty bad. Not the interview segment itself, but his responses. Fleeing directly to "IMAGINE A WORLD" when confronted with relatively gentle questions about the issues surrounding VR was a very, very bad look. Particularly with all of this DRM fuckery.
What GB video is this from?
No, you can watch all E3 streams free.
Also schedule and E3 content is on the front page, big side bar @ http://www.videogames.com/
You don't need to be a subscriber for their E3 videos. You can watch them on Twitch or YouTube in addition to the Giant Bomb website. They'll be live tonight at 5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern.
It is a goal, it's purely your reading that it is the only goal.
I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, but how is it you reconcile that anything I've listed can have multiple use cases, yet somehow you've so quickly bought into the idea that this medium can only possibly have a single one? You realize the extent of VR technology in that it's literally just a hybrid display/input device, right? Where are you drawing the line between misreading a single person's statements as definitive and all encompasses while continuing to engage in anything else that could theoretically have a singular goal but you choose to arbitrary not interpret that to be the case then?

So you're just like afraid that being in VR will make you feel lame and that your actual reality sucks? Okay.I'm just trying to pick a fight, I really don't care.
VR can have multiple use cases, sure. I'm talking about the focus I'm seeing and where I see this going in the future.
Facebook didn't bought this by mistake. Social VR will be a huge thing. Huge.
You are right that other experiences will exist but I don't think they will be the focus of it and of they want out of it.
Even if we forget the social aspect I still I'm not super into the idea of simulating being in another place. I'm just not interested about it.
Im sure there will be some cool VR stuff and whatever but I don't think it's for me. I'm more interested in AR and that type of tech that can translate virtual things into the real world instead of isolating you from it.
And you don't need to give me the benefit of the doubt. If I don't like it I don't like it. You seem way too defensive about this.
EDIT: and maybe I'm totally wrong and I'll see some applications that really interest me but this is how I feel right now with everything that has been shown and said so far.
Is that west hall 2nd floor? Wow, that's usually PACKED.
Holy shit, I really missed out by trying to watch these streams in the background.YES! The supercut of the Dan and Austin food running gag

What is the actual, hardware distinction you're taking note of wherein VR can't possibly continue to serve multiple uses whereas literally any other configuration of its already existing technologies can, or at the very least, you only question and not write off entirely? Is there any other technology you use where its usage is entirely dictated by a single goal that is incompatible with its usage for any other type of application? Does the idea that cellphones, which served a singular purpose, evolved into multitasking smartphones resonate with you or do you still see cellphones as single function devices with no room for growth?

Says free for me (with Gold).
Hmm... I have gold aswell.
Look, what they are doing with VR right now, what they talk about doing in the future, and main points they stress time and time again just don't interest me. It's not how I use tech and it's not how I want to use tech.
It's really just that simple. When Palmer was talking yesterday about how you would want a 50 dollar matrix glasses I was like "nah, I don't really want that".
Maybe one day things will change, maybe they won't. Nothing said about VR right now interests me. It's just not a product or experience I want.
I really can't explain it further. I just don't care for it and nothing that is being said or shown is changing that for now.
If I'm ever this much of a fuddy duddy, put a bullet through my brain.
It does, cheers! That was uncalled for but sure. If it makes you feel better.
Are the nightly shows not going into the podcast feed this year like they have in the past?
So confirmed guests for tonight?
- Geoff Keighley
- Phil Spencer
Danny O'Dwyer and possibly Mary Kish.

I don't even like Tekken a whole lot and I think TTT2 is a really fantastic 3D fighter.
Show starts earlier today? Hell yeah
It also didn't have the part where Austin started eating whatever Dan poured on his crotch. The Dan/Austin Supercut is great but I know he missed at least once. I remember Austin actually eating some of those Pringles at one point.
For the good of humanity, Jeff needs to at least check it out.
I don't think real naked ladies is what Jeff is looking for.No question that they would show it, at least.
This Chico lady on the Nintendo streams plays Zelda like Vinny plays open world games.

Is it weird that while I think the new God of War is the more "interesting" sequel, I would still rather play Gear 4?
Vinny should start wearing headphones on his hat. And a hat.
