Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

we can discuss alternate realms if you want but we are in reality. microsoft/nintendo is supporting crossplay sony should too

Alternate realms as in last generation when MS didn't want it? These are just companies doing what they think is in their best interests.

If their positions were reversed no way MS would be pushing for crossplay.

Wouldn't they still be doing something like this regardless of their position, since their games like Minecraft have such a large audience on mobile devices?

Personal opinion, but if MS was winning Minecraft wouldn't even be on other platforms anymore.

This was literally their position last gen. Nothing alternate about that.

Seems weird to say it, but I'm pretty sure stumbling across E3 aftershows is what made me subscribe to Giant Bomb-and after THAT fiasco, I ended up following all the threads on other sites that cover gaming because of y'all-I'm fairly sure when he decides to put his game hat on, there can't be many people better/equal to Jeff when he goes Real Interview with high profile industry people. Plus for whatever reason they don't seem to talk down to him, which is pretty rad.

That was a pretty good interview with Phil Spencer. Jeff is a good interviewer, and it's too bad that we only see that at E3 and not during the rest of the year, that would be pretty cool to see. I really wish that Jeff had asked about MS's extremely thin first-party game library, that is something I want to hear an answer about, but otherwise it was a good, and long, interview with a lot of interesting discussion.

So yeah, I've thought this for the last couple of years (since Giant Bomb went to the Jeff-and-guests-only interview style), but Jeff probably should do some kind of regular interview series.

It'll never happen, but I want Reggie or Bill Trinen on one of these.
As a Nintendo fan, the most frustrating thing about Giant Bomb's E3 late-night shows, as good as they are, is that they never have people from Nintendo on. I'd really like to see that, and it's too bad that they can't make that work (presuming they try).
