This + Jason's "YEAAAH" are the best.

Too bad Ben being a poseur ruined the moment.

As much as I enjoyed TEW I really hated that level.

You know i found my self saying this about every level, with out the enjoyed part. 🤔

I did dig the art and astetics though. Gameplay and the the characters(Oh gawd the characters) were just not my cup of tea. And I really dug re4

The story is actually way more interesting and indepth than you make it out to be, it's just a shame that the execution is not all there in my opinion. There's alot to think about and piece together but the story has many loose ends by the end of it all, however, this did not left me feeling unsatisfied but rather wanting a sequel REAL BAD. The game is also filled with very interesting details concerning the story.

I've came across people who hated the game because it was jarring to them in how it jumped from one environment to the next. In the universe that is set out in The Evil Within, it makes sense but I could totally see why someone would find that jarring or too much. For me though, it kept me on edge and I was always pleasantly surprised. I kept wanting more.

I'm sure the story that fan's come up with is more interesting. But the story, or lack there of, that I actually got in the game didn't do it for me. Even reading all the notes. By the time I completed the game and they gave me a
"Sebastian is out of the dreamscape...or IS HE?!"
ending, I gave up trying to make sense of it when the game doesn't respect the player enough to give some sense of closure or explanation.

The Ruvik level teleportation just robbed the game of any sense of progression or pacing or terror. I don't get the feeling I"m making any progress in the game. Because if I'm in Ruvik's world and he has the power to stop me, I assume he's pushing me further away from my goal every time I get teleported. But, wait, I'm getting closer? I just didn't understand how Sebastian was making progress when Ruvik keeps cockblocking him at every juncture. Ruvik is omnipotent isn't he?

You people deserve this nightmare then.

I don't disagree with you but I also don't agree with you completely. If I remember correctly
Ruvik himself is sort of fucked with the rest of the characters, he's a tragic figure.
. I don't remember the specific details only the major story beats. I'm sure the sequel will explain a ton of things as it seems it's going to go all in on STEM. With that being said Ruvik isn't even in the game that much.

I hope at some point in my life I get a job where all I do is stand around and then say "Thanks, now let's look at this video" and then stand around for 15 more minutes
