yeah he has like this weaponised self seriousness that just like sucks the fun out of every situation. hes just not suited to this kind of coverage. i don't like his written stuff either, but tonally he fits in a lot better there

Here it is: You sounded like a jerk. Unless the guy is Ian Miles Cheong or Notch or something, no dude talking about games earns that kind of trashy summation. There are a thousand different ways to express issues a person can take with another that are lest lazy and needlessly hostile.
 
I thought the last segment was good. Might not be as goofy as people hoped but there were good discussions.

Pretty great first night overall other than the MS segment.

Enough insofar as it lends exactly the amount of credence I expected a self-proclaimed journalist to make whilst making no attempt whatsoever to defend your position.

It isn't that I disagree with the points he was making, I just didn't find them all that insightful. Which is actually a step in the right direction for him as I usually find his opinion to be completely missing the mark. Honestly, the guy would be a lot more tolerable to me if he would just loosen up a bit. For someone that is wrong about as often as he is right, he takes himself a little too seriously. I honestly have nothing against the guy personally and he is probably a nice guy IRL, the way he presents himself online just doesn't really jive with me.
 
There seems to be a look at this bitch eating her crackers thing with some folk's reaction to gies. Getting way too bent out of shape for an overall decent segment.

By other journalists, I meant that if I'd defend people from GB, I should defend people from polygon too. I sure as hell am not a journalist.

Additionally, calling out a post for being super over-the-top aggro on a harmless writer isn't really a position that needs much defending.

While I should clarify that I've not read that much of his work (and I hated as much of it as I liked), this was exactly my reaction, right down to the same metaphor.
