That "Can't let VR become the comic books of video games" comment threw me. I don't quite get that.

Or IP factory for other consoles. lolHighly expensive entertainment for the amount of value you get, only liked by a very small, niche crowd?
I think she means in the sense that it is pretty pigeonholed as superhero shit. Obviously there are and have been some very outside the box stuff but I think the vast majority of it is superhero stuff? At least that was how I took it.
This sounds really interesting but it seems like it's all talk and nothing will come out of it.
I want Sleeping Lessons take on VR
Everybody's pretty much on the same page that good VR is still years away. It's fine to be critical about the present state while still being hopeful of the future.
Maybe it's a personal thing, but I rather see someone try to do all of the things and not say "just imagine all of this happening".
I feel like that's a weird thing to say about people who are talking about VR games they've worked on!

It's the tricky nature of the format right now. People seem to have big ideas on what to do for the format, but have a difficult time getting funding. Especially if you want to make something abstract, instead of something perceived as 'market safe' (ex - shooting galleries). This sounds really interesting but it seems like it's all talk and nothing will come out of it.
The VR stuff isn't for me. It's like a Will Smith Bombcast segment.

I think it's pretty cool that people are excited about VR but I just doubt the longevity of it at the moment.
