Some of the best music. I'm glad Brad backed it so hard.
Of course, the best music of the year won't get a chance because no one there really plays grand strategy games and thus missed Stellaris.

Pretty much. Brad will try and get his way even though he is wrong.
Best Multiplayer Prediction: Overwatch is in the top spot unless Jeff pushes hard for Titanfall 2 and gets some backing from Brad. Overwatch is definitely on the list tho. That game is a lock for over half the crew.

Yeah I keep forgetting Jason is even there. I think he played, like, God Eater and Attack on Titan this year. And was there another Danganronpa this year?
I mean, he's a nice guy, but he feels like the odd one out on the crew.

I haven't listened yet, but he doesn't really like orchestral music does he? Didn't Journey get completely shafted few years ago? I remember Child of Light getting brushed off for similar reasons.
Tricky and 3 are so close and fucking amazing. Both games are near flawless and fantastic.
Jeff's hate for Westerns will always hurt that genre during these deliberations.

Oh yeah, it's more about the context. He's not really into it's use in video games if I remember rightly.

Only played the first few hours of FFXV so far but ya, it's not some nice Final Fantasy ass music in it.
Listening to Oxenfree's soundtrack right now instead of the rest of the Podcast in protest of these obvious snubs.

Regarding Gears and Best Moment:

I remember back when Gears 4 came out they were talking about the reintroduction of Marcus, but that moment was reeeeaaaalllyyyy underwhelming. I don't think it even deserves consideration. It just kinda happens, it's not even a cool reveal.

the last level when you're fighting as giant robots was a way better moment. And they spoiled Marcus in the E3 trailer, so it had no impact for me.

That has nothing to do with games that have good music, though. Him dismissing Journey will never make any sense to me but his taste in music never does, anyway.

Man do I disagree with Vinny on Battlefield 1, it's the best the series has been since Bad Company 2. There being less unlocks has made it a better game overall IMO, not a shit ton of guns where half of them never get used.
