Giant Bomb iPhone App on App Store NOW

I saw the title and jumped to my iphone and began the search. Then I saw it was $1.99. Now I'm going to have to think about it and watch the video.

Ok that was a pretty funny video.

I'm glad I don't have an iphone, or I would totally buy this.... Specially because I was a featured user reviewer over the weekend.

Well, they don't have ads on their site, so they've gotta get paid somehow.

i know, i love GB but i didn't think they would charge for an app. i don't have an iPhone so i'll let you guys support them for me :lol

If I had an iPhone I would buy for $2 because I'm a big fan of their video content but can't you access their videos through the web browser?

nice, but should be free ........

If you guys would listen to the podcast it was pretty clear it was a paid app, they were discussing alternative ways to make money on the website instead of ads.

I plan on getting the app eventually. The comercial is too fantastic.

Amazing ad. Genuinely funny, much like their content.

I can't be the only one who noticed the dig they took at Wii games in the ad though, can I?

I hate that they're so oblivious of the Wii, and don't seem to care to try/make Nintendo contacts. Otherwise I wouldn't look any further than the Bombcast.

actually, i zone out when they talked about that stuff. but like i said, i don't have an iphone so i can't help them.

Yeah seriously guys. Its 2 bucks. For the amount of amazing content they provide, FOR FREE, you should not be complaining. Plus, nobody is forcing you to buy it.

I would totally buy this is I had a iPhone. Get this on PSPgo and whatever else you can when the time comes.

if they had a donate button, i'd send them $2. one penny MORE than the app! hah!

2 dollars is a lot to get reviews on the go. IGN has an app that's free that gives me reviews should I need them on the go.

And Giantbomb (no website in general, excluding GAF) could ever get me to spend money to do something that you can already do on the Safari browser.

But one of the best parts of GB, the videos, you can't do through Safari.

Bought! Hesitated a little bit since I don't think I will use it a lot. But im sure it will come in handy.

My QL: It works great so far. I like the release list the most, even tho its US dated, I don't mind, its still nice to see what is coming out and when clicking on a title you go to that game page. News is easy to read due to the dark background. And the movie quality is great, it loaded fast enough for me on 3g in Europe.

Glad I bought it :)

They've specifically re-encoded all their videos so that the format is easier to download to your iPod. And with awesome, awesome stuff like almost 60 hours of Endurance Run... it's a pretty great thing to have. Well, that, and the rest of the website is also iPhone-optimised.

Plus, go to IGN and you'll see advertisements everywhere. GiantBomb: rarely even a single one. You're paying 2 bucks. For something that gives you over a 100 hours of video filled with entertainment. Well, that, and much easier, iPhone-optimised access to the world's largest video-game specific database.

I don't visit Giant Bomb but I feel an urge to buy this app.
Must be the clusterbomb of proven advertisement techniques.
