Giant Bomb iPhone App on App Store NOW

Already got my $2 worth this morning at the gym. Pulled up the BlazBlue Quick Look while on the elliptical.

Only one small complaint - the video doesn't seem to orient itself with the orientation of the phone. When watching an iPod video or Youtube video, if I flip the phone it flips the video as well, but the GiantBomb app doesn't. The default video orientation makes it awkward for my headphone cable when working out. Just a small problem, and I can cope if it doesn't get fixed anytime soon.
 
Because of this App i've now used the GB database more this morning than I have in the last 12 months. This thing is going to be very useful over time.

I can't believe how pervasive the console-wars mentality is. Everything is either "oh sick burn" or "wow, I can't believe they're attacking X" ... Who really cares?

Oh whatever. The presence of so much trolling and immaturity on these boards should not make simple observations taboo.

The app is great (bought), the ad is amazing, the comment about the Wii - intentional or not - was observed. This is a discussion board where we discuss things.

Giant Bomb could indirectly make fun of console x all day and it wouldn't hurt my feelings. But get this. That's not the kind of site they run.

You could try to make this more personal than it needs to be all day, and it won't hurt my feelings. But get this.

I like Giant Bomb, love their podcast, and think this app and commercial rocks. Why can't I notice the line about the Dreamcase/PS2/Wii without getting attacked?

You claimed they took a "dig" at wii games. That goes beyond noticing, but I digress. This is just silly.
 
Wow I've been watching Persona 4 Endurance Run all day at work. Never watched much of GiantBomb before, but this is fan friggin' tastic.

Requests for app update:

- Ability to create some easy playlists, or access playlists off your GB account...would make watching the endurance run easier. :)

- Make the videos click/glow when it detects a tap to play them. I click the videos, and am often left wondering for 5 seconds or so whether or not the click actually worked or not.
 
I found a bug watching a video... The video ended, brought me back to the video menu, but then I heard it replay in the background with no way to get to it and shut it off.
 
Speaking of GB, is there any way to get the site or App to show up as a white background with black text? It burns my eyes to read black background / white text.

This is definitely required. I'm 4 videos in the Endurance run and It's going to be a nightmare to keep track of what video is next.

I've found the only way to do it is when you stop, you need to make sure your current video is selected, and then take a snapshot with hold+home. Just check your snapshot before you resume play so you know where you're at.
 
This endurance run is too much. Friggin' amazing.

"Kill the kid, torch the house! We gotta get outta here!" :lol

I'm about a third of the way through. This is going to be my motivator to continue the game. I'll try to stay one step ahead of them.

There are a handful of known bugs and they already submitted a fix to Apple, should be patched pretty soon.

I'm going to have to try and watch that later just to see if they end up playing it sitting down.
 
Bought yesterday because it doesn't require 3.0. I was impressed with the video quality considering they load quickly for me
 
Bought this one the day it hit appstore. Fantastic work! Videos are unwatchable with EDGE but this has nothing to do with the quality of the program and everything with the quality of my local coverage. :/

Even though these guys are serious HD console fanboys (poor Wii and PC), I would buy this for $2 if I had an iphone.

Yep, I apparently don't have the access needed to view the file? :lol

The apps kinda littered with issues, despite how much I love it.
