I feel like Yakuza could pull off openly gay main character (if they haven't done that already, I don't know anything about playable characters in 5 or 6). I hope they do that if they ever decide to get away from Kiryu

It's about cool mafia guys in the 80s doing ridiculous gangster shit with a sense of humor instead of a bunch of high schoolers rebelling against "shitty adults" in the way every social outcast wishes they could do. Also Yakuza has the original Japanese voice actors that sound badass and add real gravitas for scenes while Persona has a relatively poor localization (I didn't mind it as much as others)

For whatever reason, there was always a rumor Shinada was gay in Y5 before it came out.

So I'm going to the Metallica concert in 2 weeks and I just got an email to tell me I won the contest to upgrade my tickets to "The Snake Pit"..... Holy shit!


Like... One of the instructions in the email is:

7. Please do not touch or grab the band.


... That's really fucking close to the stage!

Although I own it, it's really neat to see Until Dawn be a PS+ offering. Surprised they didn't make it an October game. Would've been a more apt month.

Also, for those interested, Telltale's Game of Thrones Season 1 is one of the PS4 games. The past two months, they offered Tales from the Borderlands and Life Is Strange. Just like both of those games did, the first episode of Game of Thrones was already being offered for free on PSN. So, if you download the free first episode before the PS+ update happens, you will receive the game's season pass for free from PS+ instead of the game itself. This is important, because DLC is not tied to PS+, meaning you will own the game fully. Even if your PS+ subscription lapses, you will be able to continue to play the game forever. If you'd actually want to is a different question.

I mean 0 send particularly bad for a yakuza game honestly. There's no female that has a personal story or trait defined beyond being a damsel in distress or as a sexual object.

Most "good " female characters in games from Japan are man with blobs trope. Which is why yakuzas characters are so good. Because they aren't that. Mirei is probably one of the best female gaming characters evet

Oh i haven't actually played 0. Didn't feel like it once i heard gbeast I were going to play it. I'm just talking about what I've seen from BitE. I don't really remember a trans detective yet? They're just getting into the pleasure king stuff.

But he actually isn't? That's kinda disappointing.

Still feels like it's only a matter of time, those games have way too many good looking guys without shirts.

Yup. The remaining two games that offer a first episode for free are Minecraft: Story Mode and Resident Evil Retribution. With Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 out soon, I imagine the first game will be an August PS+ game.

Edit- I forgot the first episode of Hitman is free now, too.
