Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking now. Would end up being <$250 with the cheap preamp I found at least.

We're still talking like $500 for everything, importantly including the records I'd want to get right off the bat (mainly Nier and P5, and those are not exactly cheap), though. Which... is a lot up front (not that I need to buy everything at once), for something I didn't expect to be into before today, though I was always interested in the idea of it and just never looked into it. I'm probably putting off building a desktop for a bit and despite not budgeting nearly as much as I should I'm also not very financially irresponsible in the end, so I can afford it without issue. It's just hard to look at that amount and consider what's my first real adult/luxury purchase?

Which is to say I'll give it a few days and see what I'm still thinking about it then before committing to anything, of course.

I once spent $180 on headphones (Philips Fidelio X1s). They were normally going closer to $300, and the moment I put those things on I knew I had made a great decision. That's my limit though, not gonna get into crazy levels of audiophile-ness.

I mostly play handheld too but everytime I played Mario Rabbids docked I was reminded how pretty that game was on my TV.

Oh, well I don't listen to a lot of music on higher volumes. I actually barley listen to music at all nowadays, just can't find a lot of new stuff I like.

Glad they finally got their chicken dinner. It wasn't as spectacular as it could have been, but they'll surely bring it back around GOTY time, so hopefully we'll still get more Murder Island this year.

It will be the only consolation to see them play it again when Jeff is too fucking stubborn to let it be eligible for actual GOTY, despite it clearly being GOTY.

I wish the pubg fog was more volumetric like that thick rolling fog from Silent Hill 2.

edit: frankly I wish a lot of things were more like Silent Hill 2.

Back home and ready to not vacation for a long time. On the train back I watched the 2K QL. Was indeed hilarious and I'm glad Alex is calling out the VC.

I also bought Thimbleweed Park for Switch to play on the train and have enjoyed it so far. Was it relatively successful sales wise?

I'd like PUBG to have a proper nighttime map. It starts off a bit dusky when you loot and if you can't find night vision gear as it gets darker you're either fucked or stick to buildings which are lit up.

Variance in weather is always cool in games.

That would be great. Even though pubg is still relatively new I'm honestly ready for them add more variety in this regard. A snowy map with blizzard weather would be incredible.
