I almost posted about Nick but a lot of the people talking bout him are doing so abstractly to avoid blowback, so I didn't want to cause that to happen. Also figured I'd Ben deserved time to talk to Nick or whatever, in case he didn't know.

Kessler posted on twitter a couple hours back "I'm so fucking furious" with no other context, and Nicks been silent for 5 hours.

Austin was signal boosting a lot of the grumbling about Nick with retweets and stuff, and I trust Austin. A lot of other friends of the site/smart people were corroborating this stuff.

Same. Well, I've heard rumblings before, but it seems like some momentum threshold was hit tonight. Gita Jackson was alluding to it and I trust her also

My biggest problem with Wrestling Revolution 3D is the removed thongs from previous games. Imagine the insanity with:

-Guns
-Limb dismemberment
-Glass panes
-Sticks of Dynamite
-A button on the keyboard that makes apontaniois explosions happen

You haven't lived until you see a no-armed man lock in a sharpshooter.

Kotaku in Action and stupid Youtube videos are still a thing. Fuck, a few weeks ago I was recommended a recently uploaded video on Youtube that offered an "objective take" on explaining GG which started with "Maybe the accusation against Zoe were true or maybe they weren't; it doesn't matter" not mentioning that all the evidence suggesting it was true was debunked in around 2 hours. It had around 170,000 views.

There's still a large group of people who are GGers it's just so apparent they're idiots that nobody takes them seriously. Any day of the week you can look at the Kotaku In Action subreddit and there's a 99% chance that every thread on the page will be anti-SJW/pro-MRA pandering with nothing to do with ethics in games journalism. Without looking I'm going to bet that they're siding with Nick now "b-b-but there's no evidence, I bet they're just triggered because he said they looked pretty!" Then if they get the "evidence" they need they'll just turn it into all SJW's being the harassers. @mombot's the same so hopefully this doesn't blow up into a big thing.

It's worse than unlocking things in CoD because at least there you get a decent range of options to begin with. Plus the way map rotations work and Salmon Run's gated to certain times is dumb.

I don't think he hates it but he wanted to quickly and easily try out various stuff in the game and for better or worse Splatoon doesn't let you do that.

I'm lvl 26 or something and can't remember the last time I saw someone under lvl 10 or so. At that point one does have a great variety of kits. Before that point match making should keep you with low level company. No idea if that works though since I got the game at launch.

In Ranked this problem doesn't exist since one has to reach 10 to even unlock the mode.

I feel like its a non issue once you unlock the base starter weapons (so like... level 2ish?) Then you have the variety and different weapons to experiment with. I agree you won't have the wide variety a higher level has, but you at least have some options for different playstyles. A lot of the restrictions in t he game are really dumb (why can't we change weapons/armor without going back to the lobby), but I guess I don't feel like the way weapons are locked is an issue.
