You've got people in this very thread posting that "I STILL don't want to give that piece of shit website any hits" over what happened 4 years ago.
C'mon son. If he'd outed EA or Activision the reaction would be different and you know it.
Did that conversation with Jeff and John Davison not get archived? I only got to see a few minutes of it.

Vinny yelling out "what's the next endurance run?" during the pancake stream killed me. He always has the best lines.
Doesn't work for me, I'd love to see it too, shame.
So the shocking reveal was that everyone was right the entire time.
shocking
How exactly did this clear the air?

No more rumours and speculation. It's all water under the bridge, etc, etc.So the shocking reveal was that everyone was right the entire time.

I hope this means bigger paychecks for everyone. Jeff's roommate should be pretty scared right now. Jeff needs that storage space.
Great thanks, not heard from Davison for a long time.Go to Gamespot.com It's the first thing on the home page.
It's almost as if neither side ever confirmed it so it was just speculation or something.
it's almost as if it was 100% obvious what the reason was the entire time.
then it turned out to be that 100% obvious reason!
So long and thanks for all the fishAnybody have a link to the tribute/farewell that the Gamespot guys did for Jeff after he was fired? I remember seeing that on youtube at some point but I can't find it now.
For the link I just posted? Sound works fine for me duder.Sound isnt working for me...anyone have reliable/youtube link????
Ahh ok, yeah not sure where that one is.No not that one. I'm pretty sure I saw a video at some point where all the gamespot guys were together in a room saying goodbye to Jeff or something. Like the last episode of the show or something.
Meditation/Haiku Jeff is my favorite part about that tribute."that he knows about"

Yeah, they did a video with Ricardo and Ryan talking about the firing and what it would mean for GS. It must be archived? No not that one. So the bottom line is that Dave, Jeff, Vinny, Brad, Ryan, Patrick and Alex are opening a Gamestop franchise. One in Sausalito and the other in Petaluma.
When Jeff was talking about Kevin and Vinny teaming up to talk about Dark Souls I thought that was a good idea. Then I realized they had freaking Matt Rorie right next to them that they could have talked to this whole time. Poor Rorie.
Good thing you got that clarified for yourself, close call.it's almost as if it was 100% obvious what the reason was the entire time.
then it turned out to be that 100% obvious reason!
He did talk to him, Rorie was with them in the quick look, no? Also he did a long write up on it. Kinda funny that Jeff forgot about Rorie too.
Alex always looks uncomfortable. But that is why I like him.Man, watching that after listening to Gerstmann talk to Davison how the Gamespot staff really got thrown under the bus for no reason, as his "termination" was entirely the doing of the CNET management and had nothing to do with them....it must have really sucked for all of themAlex in particular looks uncomfortable during the entire thing.
