Yeah, basically. No corporate representatives from the 3 console-makers, so we don't get someone trying to convince us that a terrible press conference was great.

Man the new 360 UI is so great! Much better than the PS3's which is basically is the same thing, but much bulkier and with ads. (Thank you Whitta for calling them on that shit.)

Steve "Hot Scoops" Gaynor vs. Patrick "Hot Scoops" Klepek

Shawn Elliot would be great

8-4 people, maybe Mark and Hiroko (if they come to the US that is) --> a.k.a. handheld coverage! :)

Shane Bettenhausen

Basically 1-UP Light with a flavor of Idle Thumbs and some people from the dev side.

How about members of the 8-4 team? (if they're gonna be at E3)

Mark MacD is usually pretty entertaining with his game impressions.

Hah, been listening to the 2009 compilation. Forgot about the circuit bent baby choo choo segment, so creepy.
So much good stuff that year. Ryan doing the Nintendownload X-Press before he turned against it; Jeff's voice box and keyboard playing; NEVER... Nothing against Patrick per se but the show had such a great flow when it was just the four of them.

These selections need way more Paul Barnett. Seriously, last year's E3 podcasts felt wrong without him there. Getting him back is my first, second, third and fourth choice for a guest.

But for the record, number five would be Jaffe and six would be Jeff Green.

Paul Barnett
Jeff Green
Brad Muir
Tim Schafer
Matt Rorie
Chris Remo
Anyone from 8-4

Those are all the finest quality of guests. Bring on Phil Fish and see the internet explode. It'd be fun. Humanizing that guy would go a long way.

Let me echo those by saying that I'd appreciate anyone who can give insight into development but aren't hamstrung by a company's PR team. If I can't hear the good and the bad about a project, there's little point in bringing them onto those podcasts.

And I don't need people trashing their things. Just some realistic insight into the challenges that they faced/are facing.

That's why developers talking about other people's games is often more interesting than developers talking about their own current projects. PR and marketing schedules are conversation killers.

Seconding (X'ing?) Eric Wolpaw. That guy doesn't get enough face/voice time.

Wolpaw would be brilliant. He's really funny and some Valve stories would be awesome.

I really enjoy it when developers are on the Bombcast. David Jaffe was one of my favorite guests period, very articulate guy and very honest as well. I also liked the programmer from Naughy Dog, was it Cowboy? As a bit of a programmer myself I really enjoyed his stories from developing UC3.

Ken Levine would be amazing. I wonder if Rocksteady will be there. It would be interesting to hear from them. Also someone on the AC3 team would be great.
