I think there was someone saying that about the last panel, too, and either he was blatantly lying or it was one of those "you had to be there" things. I'm not getting my hopes up.
 
I was about to say you didn't "literally" think that, but PAX does take place in America, so unfortunately there's bound to be a mass shooting at one of the them eventually.
 
There was someone who gave the impression the gb community had the thinnest fucking skin because someone on a roosterteeth panel made a jab at them. I think there's a good chunk of people there who don't comprehend that off handed comments about other sites aren't exclusive to gb.
 
pax is the worst thing that happens to giant bomb every year. less content for a week or two and shitty hours of the most painful video content ever created just daring you to watch it so you cringe your face off

I think I was probably that guy, and, yeah, the panels are TOTALLY a "You had to be there" thing.

Everything seems lot funnier when you're with a thousand people who are laughing with you. I'll even freely admit that this is the first GB PAX panel I haven't been to (couldn't make PAX this year) and I'm not sure I'll watch the video because it's not the same.

Personal favorite was the guy who asked them to come by the Ghost Recon booth so he could give them a personal demo. "I know you guys aren't too excited by the game, but...I'd really like the chance to show you the game" or something like that.

Q&A is awesome.

It actually happened last year and Ryan and the audience basically laughed him out of the building. Something about how he couldn't believe the guy was a Giant Bomb fan and yet somehow missed the hours of coverage and the feature they devoted to the development of Greg's game.

A good joke answer would be that they never let him out of that room and he's still playing Skyrim.
 
PAX Q&A is a great example of an audience ruining their own enjoyment. They could have half an hour more of the guys being great, but they all think they have something cool to say and want the spotlight.

At least it's not as bad as the GFW Radio reunion where they were away for ages and then COOL JAZZY ENGLISH or whatever his fucking name was came about. Holy shit did I want that guy to die in a fire when I was listening to it.

i love how jeff seems like he's trying to temper going "full gangsta" with his language and tone. it's something i used to have a problem with working in retail, i'd pick up people's accents/mannerisms/etc while talking to them and i'd have to make a real effort not to do that.

btw GB PAX panels are terrible. so is the crowd.

I want a big compilation of all the times Jeff has said: "That's my rap name" or a variant thereof.

In the P4 endurance run alone he probably has a dozen, and it kills me every time.
