"This game is like getting your dick bitten off by Satan, and I would rather gargle cyanide than be in the same building as it is being played"

2/5 Stars.

Brad, you clearly hate it, I don't understand why it's getting a 2. You give fives quite freely, if you hate this as much as you love Mark of the Ninja, it's a 0/5 surely.

They don't give zeroes.

It's playable, so a 0 is out of the question. 0s gets saved for broken shit, like that Steel Battalion game, or Sonic 06.
Fair enough, but 1/5 then. It just seems pointless to me to have a scale out of five, where you give even games you actively hate 2/5.

You might as well do thumbs up/down at that point.

Who knows. It'd be good for the atmosphere for I hope he doesn't do it at like midnight or something. EST gets fucked enough as it is with Giant Bomb stuff.

It's just a test. Not an official first episode, just gonna see how my setup works at home. It would probably be pretty late, though. I do want it to be dark over here, after all.

Patricks don't seem to be working right now. Bummer.

Edit: Unofficial Patrick and Alex!

Aren't they getting rid of it?

Kinda hate how un-uniform they make the site looks though. Main 4 are fine, but then you get to patrick, dave, and drew. I'd like some consistency in the design.

Brad just asked Kamiya who he supports in the US elections on twitter. I hope to see major news headlines about this soon.

In a world of reviews that are nothing but the most shit writing ever, it's so pleasing to read a Brad review. Since he puts actual effort into the text itself, with style and proper grammar. The Gamespot reviewers should be reading up and taking notes.

Yeah, but, at the same time, I totally understand not going to the effort of getting more art for something that isn't a main focus of the site.
I think its a somewhat big focus. I just read through Brads RE6 review even after watching this past weeks I Love Mondays. Sure, I figured that I knew some of the main problems being that I have played most of the RE games. I am not a super fan and could tell this game is kind of bad, but I still like to read his reviews. I rather enjoy most if not all of Brads reviews, I don't know if its the writing, his point-and-case examples that I can always envision, or the imagery.

I know, "...cause, you know... videogames", and it is a stupid thing to be lauding, but I really do like it when not only Brad, but the rest of the guys sit down and write a good honest review of the game. Way better than video reviews imo (even though I would assume that video reviews are probably more popular with many people.

I'm not implying that there is anything wrong with the quality of their review work or that it isn't important. I'm just saying I can see why you wouldn't bother getting art for a section of the site that doesn't get their full attention.

They, or at least Jeff, are against the idea of scoreless reviews though with thumbs being barely a notch above that. Scores help bring your review into the conversation, people are probably way more willing to bring a numbered review up as opposed to simply saying a site gave a game its approval.
