Will was talking about dealing with this shit on the last Tested Podcast. Basically its google bots taking things down automatically without checking if the thing is actually infringing or not.
Hearing Ryan admit he had to put it down to easy is pretty much solid confirmation that he shouldn't be allowed to play video games. I went through on normal in less about 15 hours, losing only the 3 scripted redshirts in the tutorial, and not having any countries get close to pulling their funding. The game isn't even that much harder on Classic, which I'm playing through now.

A bit different in this case as Activision would have been the ones to directly have made the call to say that any other channels uploading the video were infringing.

Yeah, that sounded so stupid. He was saying he bought the rights or got permission to the stuff in the video and they were STILL taken down. Google really suck in basic user friendliness in my opinion.

Also probably means shorter cast than has been lately. Thinking between 2-2.5 hours instead of around 3 hours as it's been. Ryan tends to let things go longer (although I'm getting the feeling that they're starting to run into scheduling issues, latest Bombcasts seem to end abruptly).

I believe Google has said that it's changing some things after those bots really fucked up and got both NASA's Curiousity Mars landing video and the First Lady's DNC speech taken down.
The DNC speech was especially embarrassing since about 10 organizations claimed to own it, and YouTube was hyping how it was partnering with the DNC to show the speeches.
Yeah, I had a pretty easy time with the game as well. Ended up finishing it with 5 casualties (all rookies that were just so frail they were one-shot by high level aliens) and not having any countries dropped out.

Has Ryan been playing XCOM on normal? I remember hearing him say he had unlimited saves so no Ironman I guess.
The game is tough but I disagree about the difficulty being so bad. This is the first real XCOM game I've played and I'm getting through it without much trouble. I had a few rough spots due to bad planning but right now just killing it. Even with the upgraded enemies I'm just cuting through them all. It's becomming a bit routing now since I take the same guys and do most of the same actions.
I think Classic mode will be a killer but normal is really not that hard.
