Giant Bomb video special on Bionic Commando

That's one cool menu :) The game itself looks great but somewhat stiff, maybe it's because the guy playing sucks..

I'll probably pick it up.

Seeing some screen-tearing in this video, which I guess is a bit disappointing if its in the game/both versions, but this game is still a definite buy for me.

I hope the retro Spencer costume isnt just gameplay and will also be in cutscenes too. Much prefer the red-headed Duke Nukem to the dreadlocked hippy.

edit: Holy shit, the biomech robots are actually doing hadoukens. That is amazing.

Oddly enough the GRIN engine is one of the few that seems to work better on PS3. Bionic Commando Rearmed looked and ran better on PS3 (no frame tearing, better shadow filtering) so I'm hopeful that the PS3 version has the same characteristics.

Wanted which is running on their engine aswell is the same, PS3 version is v-synched and nicer looking, 360 version is a frame tearing mess.

We'll see soon enough I guess!

Yep to both of these, though I think PS3 Rearmed did have tearing, just not as much

Indeed, I can't wait to see how the PS3 version turned out. I've only seen it running once or twice ...specifically in the trailer attached to BCR

Jesus this game looks so great. My most anticipated title through this fall I believe.

How does next month tickle you? Capcom don't release their games in the swollen end of the year. They instead make mad bank by wisely releasing them when no-one else does. And it works! Who'd have thunk it!?

Oh yeah, I was going to check out the P4 thing once I finished that.

Yeah, I know it comes out on May 19. But I don't think there's going to be a game between now and this fall that is exciting me as much as Bionic Commando.

Only thing that sucks is I'm leaving for vacation on May 23. I'm buying the Capcom Store copy that has the comic book, so I won't get to play the game until I come back in June. :(

Capcom should totally do a BC: Multiplayer Beta or something soon to really amp up the ultra-hype. I am excited thinking about the multiplayer.

I'd also say that BC has the slickest menu concept in a game. The bionic hacking probe thing going from menu node to menu node, and the games very own integrated achievement/challenge system is real masterstroke stuff.

Are there any really clear screens of the Retro outfit in action? I've only seen one where he's quite obscured and overshadowed.

God that looked frustrating. It took whoever was playing about 10 attempts to get over the ledge of the building.

Really? Weird. Lowers your concentration?

I think its not just talking like if you were idly having a conversation while playing about other stuff with friends, but trying to give the usual PR presentation and show specific moves and events that results in complete concentration breakdown. I know I always lose it when I'm trying to show a cool game thing to someone while verbally explaining it. Creates a weird disconnect in my head so it all just crumbles.

So the current betting is the PS3 version will have the edge due to less screen tearing? Thats good news because it was my version of choice anyway for free MP on PSN + my PSN copy of ReArmed for the costume unlock.

that was a really nice video, BC just went from a rent to a day one purchase. Also, is it me or dose the main character look nothing like Spencer

Never played either one. Anyway, I got a little past where the guy got stuck on a wall for awhile. May check out some vids when it is complete, but jump seems weird. I haven't kept up with the game at all though.

This game looks awesome.

Jeff and Ryan dogging him for messing up the kiting move was especially funny.

"So...that works exactly as advertised then."

:lol

Glad the guy took everything in good spirits.

These guys are awesome. I've been listening to less and less Keith and the Girl podcasts because these guys fill my need for comedy and games. Oh, and

Game looks 10 different kinds of awesome. So I was looking but I can't seem to find any images of the classic skin in-game :(. I want to see next gen old school Rad Spencer

Man that looked... erratic? The way the arm grabbed onto things and propelled "Rad" around seemed pretty arbitrary a lot of the time and kind of disorienting. I wasn't really keen on the game and was hoping this video would help but it didn't do anything for me unfortunately

At around 1:25.

edit: crap, video isn't working

The controls look quite complex in motion, but I really hope it just comes all together when you wrap your hands around the controller. Easily one of my most anticipated games this year.

I'm a little worried about how smart the swing targeting will be, but considering they've talked constantly about it and it's the main focus of the game, they'll probably have it as polished as it could be. Really looking forward to this thing.

I'm so onboard for this. The environments look so fun to play in and seeing some of that boss battle was something else.

Day one. ReArmed was my favourite game from last year, and I am definitely psyched for this one, especially after that video. Soon as I boot it up, I'm putting in the retro Spencer code and cancelling all my appointments.
